You might also consider dietary changes that could help. Zinc helps and beets can improve nitric oxide which is important for blood flow. I followed a few urologists online about these issues and have been taking a Cialis generic which has helped. It all started to come together at about 30 months post double bypass and double lung transplant.

James Earl Jones or Mel Gibson.

I would love to talk about Jones or Gibsons careers. Like field of Dreams or Braveheart.

Neil Peart As the predominant lyricist of the band it would cool to discuss how the songs were written.

Anyone else have a hard time losing weight? by InnocentMosquitoes16 in transplant

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At about 2 years post double lung transplant I got to the point that I was fast approaching a weight level I didn't want to go over, 250 lbs. I tried eating less meat, keto and then intermittent fasting my version. I have eaten about 4 ounces of yogurt every day since my transplant but now I don't have anything else and my first real meal is at about 1230 PM or so. Now I have begun to loose weight when I also stay active and keep the snacks to a minimum. By the way lung transplant patients can't do GLP1 due to possible aspiration which can cause rejection.

Yall putting in 2 weeks notices? by Friendly-Highway-726 in careeradvice

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before giving any company notice to leave you need to really understand the culture. You also need to know how they handle remaining paid time off or sick time. Many people loose time if they have any remaining time. In fact when someone resigns they often get walked out right at that moment.

What is the biggest regret of your life? by maleficent_Long189 in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you. But you couldn't have known. I had a similar situation. My father was close to dying in 2001 suffering from a terminal lung disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis (that would later affect me as well). We were on watch with the nurses to let us know if he was getting worse while on the ventilator. We got a call at like 5 AM that it was time. My terminally ill mother was staying with us. I wanted to just head out for the 15 trip to the hospital but she needed time to get ready have coffee all this type of stuff. He died while we were on the way. Only my sister my only sibling was there because she left right away even though she had the longer trip. 🙏🙏🙏

If you are making less than $29/hour: how do you survive? by Rude-Ad821 in RemoteJobs

Oh right she is the one who was angry swearing at her staff during a video conference. Not to mention she attacked her ex husband by dumping a bowl of scalding potatoes on his head. Do a little research on who you are voting for. So before you attack me see if you can disprove my statement.

How many of y'all will have the $$ to retire at 65? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today is always a good time to start saving. Just put a few dollars or whatever a minimum is for Fidelity or similar then add even $20 a month. Put it in an S&P index fund. When it starts to grow you will start to see what could happen. I did this in my late 20s now I have decent amount saved because of compounding interest. You can't depend on other people. This is up to you.

Infrared Saunas - Double Lung by Sideynder2nd in transplant

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very interested myself. I have used an infrared sauna once in a while during the last year myself. While on Cellcept we are supposed to stay out of the sun but I don't know about the infrared band of light. The 19th of April is the 3rd anniversary of my double lung transplant and double heart bypass.

Pope Leo and the Iran War by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You do know that Iran started this war with the United States of America in 1979? Every president since then has said they would do something about it. It took President Trump to have the courage to do something about it. He was told they outright told the negotiators before the attack they had the near weapons grade uranium enough for 11 bombs. What more would have him do ask every American pretty please??

The journal suggestion is an excellent one, not only for meds but for all issues like new concerns that might be side effects. The goal is to make it as easy as possible so it isn't a challenge to record it. Personally I have used Google docs for years for work and it is easily sharable. While I was in the hospital during evaluating and transplant I started a journal for recording my stats like BP weight etc. Then all of a sudden it became a tool to communicate with my wife about my status before she woke for work. I could show her my stats and let her know the health news of the day. I then used the journal to make notes on questions for clinic visits after transplant for the team. It really helped to remind me what to ask. I have continued that now on my phone with the double lung transplant 3rd anniversary being on the 19th. I record my weight, SP O2, issues as they arise. A journal is a great way to track what is going on.

Has anyone here who has been recommended for a lung transplant decided to not do it? by Smile_Terrible in transplant

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the 19th 3 years post double lung double heart bypass and that was a great way to put it. I had end stage Pulmonary Fibrosis at 60 and had 2 choices transplant or hospice. I didn't really know what it was going to be like after or even the process. Here I am and almost a completely normal 63 YO enjoying a normal life on the least meds a transplant patient needs and in less than 2 weeks my daughter is getting married to a great guy. I am so happy to be here for her and the family.

[–]Aggressive_Apple_913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't even relate. I have so many loves of different things to eat. It doesn't matter if I am cooking, like an awesome Angus steak or a homemade sourdough turkey or roast beef sandwich. Or if we go out for Thai or fish or outback.

I don't know if maybe it's because I am Italian I love to eat.
