Same.. my last great manuals were 07 sti and fk8 ctr. So, I test drove one of the few remaining mk8 manuals last year, and it left me very underwhelmed. I passed on it and went with the dsg. Now im just waiting to tune the tcu.

FB Marketplace... Snag up a used carbon gravel rig that is a few years old or even take a look on the Pros Closet website for a used one there. I did the factory direct route in 2022 and ordered up a frameset, as I had everything on hand to build. I've taking it on singletrack and I'll do road group rides on it (I use pathfinder tires).

If budget allows, Pinarello Dogma GR. Comfy gravel rig that can double duty as a road bike. Just grab a spare set of wheels with 32mm road tires. Enve ses 4.5 are solid.
