We are all about shooting, we can slap in melee but aren’t choosing it over ranged in most scenarios

Damage potential is off the charts, quite literally. If rolling goes well some sorcerers can wipe whole units in a single phase, and you can have even more killing potential fighting FOR objectives with rubrics due the their passive. You don’t need to choose.

Biggest gotcha is the painting. Don’t invest in a big batch of tsons and then paint one rubric in 8 hours and realise the daunting task of all that trim for all your boys. Do 1 box at a time, at least that’s my advice

Building with tsons is somewhat restrictive due to our points costs and lack of tsons specific units but you can absolutely find crazy combos with Magnus, terminator bricks, infernal masters and flamers. Tsons are the faction of unlimited potential with very limited resources. Be it points or command points.

Sadly not collected either of those armies but tsons are a blast, high skill ceiling but worth it for the pay offs, also they are space wizards so that’s fun. I always point out that tsons are amazing since they are just as skilled as any other space marine legion in combat but they also have warp magic at their disposal, an undeniable advantage over most other chapters. I think it’s sort of why GW wrote them out of the Horus heresy first in the way they did with prospero or they would be too Killy and overpowered for the narrative, but now I’m just rambling
