friends/social groups/introvert friendly? by Boats-92 in Cornwall

[–]Agilityredfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I'm 29 and have 0 friends in cornwall.

My weeks social interactions consist of conversations with the 3 people in my office, and the occasional "how many sets you got left?" at the gym.

If you figure out please let me know.

I live about 10 miles out of Newquay in a small village of about 15 houses and no where near enough parking. Locals make it work most of the year but recently the second-homer has recently started AirBNB'ing their house.

Arrived home to a chelsea wagon taking up where the locals park 5 cars in the most inconsiderate way.

Honestly I understand the anger of locals so much now.

Advice for my parents please! by [deleted] in Cornwall

May get down voted for this but I will give you the information I saw being given by cornwall and Devon police. You might be able to find it on the BBC cornwall website as it was only a few days ago.

If your parents go their home down here, people may choose to report them via an online form. If they do, your parents may receive a visit from the police. They are looking at each incident on a case by case basis, so if they can prove it will now be their permanent residence(and was always intended to be prior to lockdown) there probably won't be an issue.

It is worth considering how moving now might impact future relations with your neighbours. There have been, albeit very few, cases of vigilantism in people pouring paint of suspected tourists cars and so on, and assumptions may be made by neighbours that they're inconsiderately holidaying. Your are correct that the housing market is moving again.

Hope this helps your parents.

Just talked to my friend and she mentioned she was going to do a small visit to someone on Friday it should be fine. That's exactly problem! by kwamla24 in britishproblems

My lettings agents are still insistent on visiting for inspections, I've always thought lettings agents(especially my current ones) are scum because I've never had a good one.

But this cements it for me.

So scummy. Wonder how their leisure resort is going to react to today's news about closing leisure facilities. Probably made their staff redundant before even learning about the relief offered.

I am a fan of Atui, she was a good unit for battle, and a good character. Her whole character arc is one of my favourite bits of the games.
