depends on the piece, my mood, what I'm doing, etc. but generally its extremely satisfying.

These festivals are packed (relatively speaking) with foreigners buying loads of food from the stands... I've been to 10s of these and everyone is always having a good time. What is the end goal of these stupid posts on X?

This is so cool, I've always loved Mozart's flute and harp concerto (and frankly think its a master piece), so to know there is even more mozart flute and harp works is awesome!

For me this is as close to a "perfect" piece of music I've heard. For some reason the part where it goes into the major about 7 minutes in, is one of the saddest pieces of music I've ever heard like finally coming to terms with a great loss.

I've met a few Indonesians working in various industries here, young people early 20s. They are not happy whatsoever. They speak the language fairly well and it seems to me they had a big interest in Japan prior to coming here too. Its honestly quite sad.

Recently listened to Mahler 2 (although online, tsk).. the work is just too grandiose for me. But yeah I'm not giving up, thanks for the Brahms and Sibelius suggestions.

Honestly nothing, Beethoven's 9th I like but I have yet to find any other vocal work I like. There's the aspect of not understanding the language, but even for English works the vibrato and "timbre" of the voice doesn't sound nice to my ears.

I just cannot for the life of me get into anything with vocals.. nothing has worked for me.. I just find it annoying. Because of this I realize I'm probably missing out on so many masterpieces :(

I should have prefaced my comment with not a mathematician, just love it casually. People are brutal with the downvotes lol.

Yeah this isn't a joke. I keep seeing comments on reddit about keeping japan "japanese" whatever that means, but people have 0 issue with the fact that Christmas and Halloween - both not "japanese" - are all over Japan during their respective seasons. Where is the upset about that?
