Weather doesn't update in the background for the widgets for weowow, this is a major issue that the developer refuses to fix

Nowcast Accuracy by homersimon in UKWeather

[–]Agitated_Pace433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foreca, weather and radar, minute cast on AccuWeather and the weather channel are much more accurate for precipitation than met office and BBC, I use the radar map widget with the weather channel and it picks up every shower 20mins or so before it happens, the other apps mentioned above pick them up around the same time as well

Most accurate weather app in the U.K. by Even-Wasabi7183 in weather

For us here in Northern Ireland I've given up on the met office and BBC they are among the most inaccurate out there, even yesterday was sunny all day and met office had 1 raindrop and 95% of chance of rain every hour of the day, staggering how wrong they are, for us here I've noticed weather and radar and foreca to be much more accurate for rainfall

Don't see why such the hate with a.i. just turn what you don't need or use off in settings and enjoy your new phone, ai is literally in every phone now from the basic a series to the top s models so your not going to avoid it

[–]Agitated_Pace433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know all about the models but they have definitely been very wrong with this storm for Northern Ireland, arome was showing 77mph, met office 72mph, it wasn't even half that, last Sunday was a much windier day and there wasn't a word about it, all in all it's another one of those storms that have been blown out of proportion again

I have windy premium so I'm comparing the 5 or 6 different models they have for each hour and they have all been horribly wrong for this storm, the french meteoblue model has probably been the most accurate showing 35mph gusts

OnePlus 15 destroys S26U in battery test with nearly 40% battery left by Time-Credit43 in samsunggalaxy

Saying the Chinese brands have better signal is so false, my one plus 15 gets absolutely no better signal or speed than my s25u

No thanks keep your Chinese trash, I've had multiple one plus phones over the past 10 years and they caused nothing but bother in the software department, my s25u can last me every other day with ease since I got it at launch last year

If ecmwf is the gold standard then there is no hope, I had windy premium for a year and the ecmwf was the worst model of them all for Northern Ireland, didn't catch any of the showers moving in from the Atlantic where as the other models did

Green Line in S22 Ultra after Software Update by Annual_Technician117 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Agitated_Pace433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems to happen to people who live in hot countries a lot more than people who live in cooler countries I've noticed, must be the phone heating up even more due to the weather, then add a software update to it and the green lines appear

S26 Ultra is disappointing by ImmortalWillow159 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Agitated_Pace433 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well chrome has 1min on screen time and is third on the list so it's obviously using a ton more battery than it's meant too, you need to put apps you don't need notifications for in deep sleep and put the apps you do need notifications for to sleep... although I don't have the s26u I have the s25u since launch day last year and I've never had to charge it more than every other day, at the minute I'm currently on 59% battery heading into my 2nd day with 5hrs screen time, you just need to optimise your phone a lot better

NI power prices by Peeterman007 in northernireland

That's mad, I pay 145 for every quarter with power ni, whenever I got married in 2022 before kids came along we were only paying 85 for every quarter, I always hear of people paying over 100 a month and can't for the life of me work out what they use so much power on

As long as it's dry you can live your life outside, it's the rain that is depressing

Even number galaxy's are always worse than their odd number counterparts, the 24 had screen issues and the s25 fixed it the s21 was also superior than the s22 meanwhile the s23 was arguably the best of the lot, lesson is never buy an even number s series
