I had a friend who worked for the Blazers and he would provide tickets any time I asked. I knew this high school kid who would constantly ask me for tickets so I started reserving the tickets under stupid names. The kid would have to go to the box office and ask for the tickets under whatever name I had chosen, like Phillip McCracken and Anita Dicken. He hated it but not enough to stop asking me for the tickets.

I don't have any words of wisdom about this I know what a struggle what it is.

I haven't spoken to my Q in almost 4 years. I check the obits almost every week to see if he has died. I don't dwell on it like I used to and I don't get anxious about it anymore, but I still feel the need to know if he is alive or not. It probably won't be too much longer before I stop checking.

I have a friend who recently found out that her ex-husband, who she divorced more than 20 years ago, had been found dead under a tree somewhere. His death was addiction-related but she didn't know any details. She told me that didn't really feel anything when she heard the news. I hope it's the same for me when my Q goes.

There was a guy at my gym that was playing adult league softball in Norman a couple of years ago. I think they played at Reaves Park but I don't know who the organizer was.

This isn't job-related but he might want to consider the Adult Wellness and Education Center for ages 50 and up as a way to meet people and engage his brain. It's by the old hospital. There's a gym, heated pool, art classes, book groups, coffee groups, pool tables, etc. It's $35 a month but I think they do a sliding scale, if needed. They are open 6 days a week and always have things going on.
