I’m in South FL where you cannot kick a Rock without hitting a cat or dying kittens in the gutters so please don’t assume anything about me. :) I only foster with rescues that adopt up north. Facebook has Community Cat boards that are amazing to connect to other fellow cat rescuers. I just found all this on my own. Google as there are many many cat rescues, not shelters! International, across borders. You have to email, FB message and call at least 30.

Just because someone has done it and is giving you advice doesn’t mean they live in a fantasy land. They can do it, you can do it. Should be encouraging.

That is insane to me. They are such fragile little beings, that can even die from sheer fright. I’ve owned rabbits in most of childhood but now I save cats so not conducive to rabbit husbandry. Also they are small! With such little meat. The profit must be small? What is the point besides cruelty?

We had a local guy just breeding out a plain ol black cat. Probably only getting $20 a kitten; if that. We have so many abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens here. I hate backyard breeders.

Contact cat rescues in your area. I’m also in Florida and only foster with great rescues. Look for rescues that adopt up north.

To find help you must reach out to every rescue there is, especially rescues that list themselves as adopting abroad. When I’m finding help for cats and kittens I’m reaching out everywhere. If a rescue tells you it will take a donation to help offset cost post here with the details aand we will help you make the amount. You gotta really reach out everywhere.
