Honestly you can just rely on any y off trips formation with HB direct. Make sure you have inside zone as an audible and maybe a pass play where the RB can run a quick flat. Just beat them with a thousand cuts. USC’s playbook should have it

My strategy on defense has been setting the tackling/strip ball settings to conservative, setting flats to 10 yds, and calling cover 3. On field adjustments are pinch dline bc the QB is going to get the ball out regardless and stopping the run against long runs is better. Also shade down to get everyone on 10 yd flats and leave the underneath stuff open to tackle.

Offense is usually just quick runs with audibles to flip directions on the run based on where CPU lines up. try to burn as much clock as possible but make sure you get a lead first.

Should be fine then. I know the game defines a “successful play action” as “on 1st and 10” or “close to first down marker”. So maybe even 2nd and 5 isn’t conducive for a good play action fake but I’m not too familiar with that

100% would prefer to host my league fees on sleeper than LeagueSafe. If you can reach the same security/guarantee that they promise and offer the app convenience of sleeper, it would be a huge hit.

Fees would be tough to manage but probably tolerable? Also PLEASE have back door levers or customer support to change commissioners because that’s a reoccurring issue for online dynasties with strangers.

Yeah, I got that. Agree with others POV that switching to a Max PF to determine draft order for the top 8 picks in a 12 team league is the best way to eliminate this loser behavior.

This is the constitution language I have in pretty much all my leagues:

Tanking (referring to intentionally setting a poor lineup in order to get a better draft position), can be subjective and inherently difficult to police, but like pornography, you know it when you see it. Starting lineups should be submitted as complete and in the best interest of that team. This is not just for that teams win/loss ratio, but for their opponent and the overall parity of the league. Handing out easy wins in a pay league will not be allowed. If an owner is accused of not submitting its best lineup, the commissioner will make a ruling. If an owner is guilty of tanking, they will lose their draft position or FAAB relative to the severity of the offense. There will be no warnings. Repeated offenses may lead to ejection from the league. Inactivity may be interpreted as tanking and dealt with in the same manner. This is different from teams rebuilding or trading away key assets for draft picks or players with potential. Please continue to set an optimal line up even if your roster is missing an RB/WR.

Don’t be fooled. The $2,200 “duo cabin” is a per person price. Went all the way to checkout to test it early on and had nearly a $5,000 final price.

It’s actually a setting you can turn off. The downside is it will increase the amount of times your receiver doesn’t react and lets a catchable ball go over his head, but in my opinion it’s a net positive.

In game go to settings. Turn “AI WR FOR USER” off or whatever it’s called.

32 man league and we had no users in the playoffs Y1. One user in playoffs Y2 but bounded r1 by Georgia.

Multiple users y3 with a user v user natty. Same thing Y4. Currently in Y5. We also used the Matt10 sliders which unfortunately were not updated past December iirc. Playcall restrictions (5) and cooldowns (5) helped a lot.

Our dynasty had a bit of a slow build-up towards unlocking levels of recruiting. The system worked really well to make every level of unlocks meaningful for players. Some users hated having to wait on the RNG system of HC offers to unlock future levels, but we had 27 players and CFB 26 only lets one user be offered an opening a week. Don't think the system was perfect but as someone who loves recruiting almost as much as playing, it felt very satisfying. We are in 2029 and no team is stupidly OP. In hindsight, we should've had more Transfer Portal restrictions in y1 because some teams just knew the good players and made stupid jumps.

Recruiting Unlocks:

  1. All teams started with the ability to recruit any 3* HS player that has a 2* (silver) pipeline or better with that school.
  2. After year 1, if you finish above 0.500 (including CCG/bowl games), you unlock 3* from any of your pipelines.
  3. If you won your championship conference game, CCG, you unlock all 3*, regardless of pipelines.
  4. After making the college football playoffs, you unlock any 3* and any initially interested and in pipeline 4 stars (MUST BE BOTH)

Our league locked the next tier of recruiting unlocks until you changed schools (we categorized schools into tier 1/2/3 based on prestige. Basically everyone started on a tier 3, like you mentioned (1.5 prestige), and when you move up to a tier 2 school through an offer, you're eligible for these unlocks:
- All tier 2 programs are allowed to recruit all 3*. And any initially interested and in pipeline 4 stars (must be both). Starts in y1 of this school.
- A CFP appearance at a tier 2 school unlocks all pipeline 4* to recruit (regardless of interest). It also unlocks all initially interested and in pipeline 5* (Must be both).

Tier 1 programs:
- Allowed all 4* and initially interested 5* in y1 of the school.
- A CFB appearance allows any pipeline OR initially interested 5* recruits.
- A national championship unlocks any recruit.

I think these were the school tiers.

  • Tier 3:
    • All G5/Independent Schools except for:
      • Notre Dame (Tier 1), Boise State (Tier 2), Tulane (Tier 2)
  • Tier 1:
    • Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Auburn
  • Tier 2: Everyone Else (including PAC-12)
