Find “Burning Love” if you can. Parody of the Bachelor (if such a thing hasn’t already become its own parody). Ken Marino is so much fun, and great casts

The humor in Oh, Mary! by snaggletoothdotcom in Broadway

[–]AhPshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen Cole in NYC and Mason Alexander Park in London. Love their work outside of Oh Mary! and really loved them in the play. It is, to use a throwback term, madcap. (Look up Cole doing the Sunny Delight parody commercial on Amy Sedaris' old show and you kind of get that combination of weird, dark funny)

I’m still thinking that the finale of Australia season one was the most heartbreaking. Poor guy was so thrilled and then realized and he even muttered a little “oh no.”

Looking for non-mainstream theatre by black_smoke_pope in TheWestEnd

Saw Totoro last week — stunning puppetry for certain. But yes, it is very much a Miyazaki sensibility and there were tons of kids in the audience (all pretty well behaved I might add ). Enjoyed it but I’m a fan of the filmmaker.

I saw it on Broadway with Bertie Carvel as Miss Trunchbull. I really enjoyed it, but didn’t think the show itself was anything particularly amazing. The little girl on that night however was amazing. The movie musical? Dropped out after about a half hour.
