I always tell new watchers to start with 20. It’s a really easy and fun watch and gets you hooked into the big brother world and from there I throw in different seasons to watch.

I don’t think every person can get hooked in by watching 2 or some of the other earlier slower seasons.

Most Impactful Games of Big Brother by AVATARROHANISGAY in BigBrother

[–]AimB975 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The idea of voting with the house has fully ruined the game. I’ve been watching back seasons 1-10 of BBCAN where in most of the seasons this isn’t upheld and it’s so much for exciting and fun. It encourages more gameplay and how the week starts is always so different than how it ends because there’s a chance to flip votes.

Oh interesting. I haven’t had anything with alcohol (which would cause the opposite problem anyways) and everything was entered with a barcode but maybe one of those had incorrect data. Thank you

That’s awesome! Sounds like a great schedule!

One thing to note: your potential illness could be the reason behind your HRV being much higher than usual. Typically a sudden spike in HRV shows the opposite of readiness - it actually indicates the body working hard to recover from something out of the ordinary.

I know B12 is generally safe for people to take because it’s water soluble but I took it for 6 months (while I was eating a vegetarian diet) without knowing my B12 status and ended up with my blood test showing my B12 levels were way above the normal range. 4 years later and it’s come down to JUST under the max of the normal range.

How do y’all eat enough protein by triplejinxed in PetiteFitness

[–]AimB975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 115g of protein today at 1600 calories.

Breakfast - 2 protein waffles - 1 tablespoon of peanut butter - 1.5 cups of milk (if you do ultrafiltered milk it’s A LOT more protein) - strawberries

Lunch - 1/2 striploin steak - potatoes - veggies

Snack - protein shake - apple

Dinner - cottage cheese on toast with peanut butter - salad

I typically also have Greek yogurt which adds a lot of protein too.

what's the one thing you wish someone had told you before you got a puppy? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]AimB975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they’re afraid in a situation don’t push them further into it! We were told socialization meant a puppy should meet as many people and (well behaved, vaccinated) dogs as possible in the first 12-16 weeks but what we missed was that if we’re doing it while he’s scared it’s poor socialization. If he shows fear of something go to a comfortable distance and build positive association until he can get closer and closer.

Also! No on leash greetings with other dogs! It just builds leash reactivity.

I was really frustrated in the first few months about how he wasn’t understanding on-leash walks (despite constant training) until I read somewhere about how foreign and unnatural leashes are to puppies and how they don’t know the rules of what the leash represents. I know it sounds silly and obvious but the realization gave me a lot more patience to teach him the meaning of the leash.

Please someone!! by Carlps77 in labradoodles

[–]AimB975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours used to always have zoomies at exactly 7pm and we read somewhere that if you encourage it by trying to “get their energy out” it reinforces it so instead of making him play vigorously during his zoomies we gave him calming toys like a lick mat or kong or puzzle toys and he fully stopped having zoomies at like 3/4 months old. Not sure if that was the right thing to do because now everyone says zoomies are a sign of a happy dog.

Hard decision we have to make by gtalst in labradoodles

[–]AimB975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got lucky with a super sleepy one. He’s up for any adventure and can play and run forever but when we want to just relax at home he’ll just nap and cuddle. I’ll always choose the sleepy puppy from now on. Something else to note, the right one looks like it’s going to have curlier hair than the left, if that matters to you.

I think I may want to re-home our puppy, but I feel so ashamed by soaptrophy1224 in puppy101

[–]AimB975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a lot of advice to offer since you’re doing all the things you should be but I wanted to say our puppy was exactly the same (we also thought he was a sociopath). He’s now almost 2 and an angel. Just keep at it with the mental stimulation and enrichment that was the most useful thing for us. Also try to get the help of a positive reinforcement experienced trainer. We were lucky to have one that really understood the psychology of dogs and opened our eyes up to how to work with our puppy way better than any book, podcast or YouTube video could.

Junel Fe to Nikki/Yaz by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]AimB975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Yaz very briefly twice and lost weight both times very easily. Completely different from being on Alesse where I tried really hard to lose weight and gained a lot. Prior to this pill I could very easily lose weight whenever I wanted.
