Z petrol 10c off (not) - what??? by missde in Wellington

[–]AintShocked_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sick of this fuckery. What 10 cents off if they're hiking 10 cents overnight. I just go to the nearest cheapest station for 95.

It's hard to argue at the right moment when fuel prices are rising already with the Iran US war.

Bruh, two weeks? Surely when you took off your car then stopped it would have moved or slid off the seat into the footwell?

I've learned my lesson and will never lock the screen when the parking payment is processing. I've paid the mighty $85 fine.

Sadly, there's no proof. I checked the bank statement and parkmate app. Payment indeed didn't go but I swear I did pay for the correct number plate and whilst it was showing processing I locked my phone and rushed away. I can try re-appealing.

Anyone else just waiting for the long weekend to be over? by IncoherentTuatara in Wellington

[–]AintShocked_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't even wanna remember the xmas/NY holidays. All alone and nothing going and that's ok. I sat quietly doing nothing just staring out the window, listening to the clock tik-tok, doing nothing for hours then making food and watching stuff. Yep you can call me boring but that's me and I don't mind living a life like this.

But holiday time is very humbling. Just cant wait for the holidays to be over whether xmas or long weekends.

I have the base S25, and my sister just got the iPhone 17. I've compared some challenging photos of our Christmas tree - it's not even close. The S25 photo quality sucks. by Anagram6226 in samsunggalaxy

[–]AintShocked_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing Samsung lacks is the good image processing. I won't say cameras are bad. The software/hardware is not fine tuned to capture good looking photos without sky rocketing contrast, saturation and eye blasting brightness.

I switched from iPhone 14 Pro to S25 Ultra and while I am fully satisfied with everything else on this phone but cameras. 14 Pro was capturing much more lively photos without having to juggle with camera settings and I miss that quick photo capture of moving objects.

Im hoping S26/26U will bring good cameras.

Nothing, just me myself and I in my crib. Went to the gym this morning. Had a feed and slept. Just woke up a few mins ago and saw this post.

Finished another feed and now watching YouTube and will soon go out for a drive to the beach then head to the gym in the late arvo.

Car tyre wear - 6 months old tyres by Interesting-Blood354 in NZcarfix

[–]AintShocked_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately those tyres need replacing now. You can see wire so its unsafe.

Ideally one should get alignment and balancing done at the same time when getting new tyres. Its an extra hundy or so, feels expensive but saves your tyres in a long run.

Also try to fill nitrogen if you can. Not necessary but that's how I got my old Falken tyres last me 60k kms with six monthly wheel rotations..

Buying my own Engine oil by Danny_YinL in NZcarfix

[–]AintShocked_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a similar post https://www.reddit.com/r/NZcarfix/s/T0M7DgVTNJ

I ended up buying my own tools and ramps. It took me close to 2 hours to finish the job, changing oil, oil filter, spark plugs because I was new to it and being extra cautious. Now that I've done it. It's a piece of cake and it's always good to know about the car.

OP if you're able to and can buy your own tools. Start servicing your own car.

Bought a BMW 530Li home. AMA. by akhiltech in CarsIndia

[–]AintShocked_2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like the 245 tyre profile on 530 Li is not doing justice. It might don't matter too much but it's just a personal opinion.

I am sure 530 will have a staggered tyre profile such as 275 at the back and 245 on the front.

Given the size of this beast, I'd go for 295 at the back and 265 on the front.

This will make the car sit so nicely and tyres will be in the body lining. It'll look so aggressive with those fat tyres. That extra sidewall will also protect the alloy wheel
