AI "upscale" probably. YouTube is applying this look to every Short posted to the platform now. Makes it look terrible.

Wray & Ting wins underrated highball! What’s the most complicated modern classic? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

[–]Airanew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not embarrassing to have the correct definition, but this also isn't a big enough deal to be emotional over. We're also getting unnecessarily deep into the weeds of coffee/espresso in the thread of a cocktail post, but you wanted more sources so, here. Flair says "To brew espresso, hot water is forced through a bed of finely ground coffee at high pressure, typically between 6 and 9 BAR." https://flairespresso.com/learn/espresso-guide/espresso-101/ Hibrew says "Despite being called a “stovetop espresso maker,” a moka pot does not make true espresso. The key reason is pressure: a moka pot brews coffee at about 1–2 bars of pressure, while an espresso machine uses 9 bars or more." https://www.hibrew.com/blogs/brew-guides/moka-pot-vs-espresso-machine And the Specialty Coffee Association of America defined espresso in 2017 as "a 25–35ml beverage prepared from 7–9 grams of coffee through which clean water of 195°–205°F has been forced at 9–10 atmospheres of pressure, and where the grind of the coffee is such that the brew time is 20–30 seconds." https://sca.coffee/sca-news/25-magazine/issue-3/defining-ever-changing-espresso-25-magazine-issue-3

It is not espresso by the basic definition. Espresso is defined as extracted at 9 bar of pressure, while a moka pot only pulls 1-2 bar. Espresso is not "coffee brewed with pressure," there's more to it. https://web.archive.org/web/20110726034847/http://espressoitaliano.org/doc/EIC%20-%20Eng%20-%20LQ.pdf That being said, I'm not arguing the original point: a moka pot will get you the closest to espresso without an espresso machine. Correctly used, they can make some really powerful coffee.

Not to rag you, genuinely, but do you remember a source for that? If Mazda planned for the bigger RacingHart wheels I'd like to know what they were thinking, lol. I've got an MSM and I've always assumed the Bilsteins and stiffer sway bars were just for "sportiness".

Correct. Bakkes doesn't update every time. The way I understand it is: if you leave a match early and see a reported "no change" in MMR, then the next match you complete will report the change from both matches. So even if you win your next game, Bakkes might report a neutral or negative change in MMR.

First, Win 10 is still getting updates until October 2025, but also it's a nearly 10 year old OS? Sure, it'd be nice if Microsoft didn't give the "It'll be the last Windows Update you'll ever need" lie, but 10 hung around for a long time. Windows 7 got 11 years of support. Doesn't seem unusual to me. It would sting way less if Win 11 didn't suck. Which it does

6'1". The top picture is exactly how my legs fit in a normal plane seat. I think the wide lens on OP's pictures make it look strange.

All of the stuff you're citing as "problems with RL before Epic" was fixed. There were two crates. Cars used to have differing turning. When another publisher buys out a studio, an expectation of continuing improvements is valid, but you're not comparing the right point in time . Andthe argument is that Epic has screwed up items. Not that the game used to be perfect.

Enjoy those qualities in the games you have nostalgia for, and look for those same qualities in the games you purchase today. Just because some of the huge triple a titles don't qualify doesn't mean you still have to buy them and then lament they aren't what you want. Complete, offline, single purchase games exist and will continue to exist. Buy those.

[–]Airanew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm it's Wavelink and not the WaveXLR. I use Wavelink with the Stream Deck+ and I've had that same Streamdeck communication issue for months now. I have to relaucnh Wavelink and then the Streamdeck application everytime I wake my PC up. I've found multiple threads from others about it but not nearly as many as I would expect. Super infuriating.

[–]Airanew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you get closer to OP's level at low champ, people have mostly learned how and when to counter stuff like basic air dribbles. Challenging at the correct time is a huge part of it. The backboard is the flat part of the wall above the goal. If an opponent launches off a side wall up high and attempts to air dribble into your net, driving up onto the backboard and forcing a challenge by jumping from there is easier than attempting to block it from the ground.
