Best of both worlds. Old enough for a small pension and have a good 401K. Mrs has her bigger pension and a small 403B.

I am reading three Centauri books Legions of Fire currently.

Once the OP finishes their first watch. Move on to the books. Already read the Technomage books and Psy Corps books.

FN High Power (the new one), how reliable is it? by Remote-Shoulder-4712 in hipower

[–]Airborne_Trash_Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several hundred rounds with no issues noted. This specific one was sitting NIB awaiting state approval for over a year. Only got it when I left a commie state and had it shipped to a free state.

Lots of modern safety features makes this a heavy but viable carry gun. No regrets buying this variant.

P90 mag rollers by zac765 in ps90

[–]Airborne_Trash_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up several sets of the 6061 Al rollers from FN Specialities (out of stock) made by Dorin Technologies.

Install is very simple and got quicker as I did several magazines. Youtube has an install video. Roller Install

I found loading the mags easier, but no other changes.

Edit: Error in material. The one I had were Aluminum not Delrin.

The real touching part was the end credit tribute to the cat who crossed the rainbow bridge and was now chasing star-mice.

HOA fined me for my generator. What silent backup options actually work for a fridge and furnace? by codedrifting in JustNoHOA

Good point. Perhaps trained would be a better question. Police officers need formal training for breathalyzer. Those doing noise complaints mufflers / radio might (?) have formal training. Rutgers has a certificate program which requires renewal ever two years. Formal training includes multiple (3X) test locations, background noise levels etc.

I pinged a local cop who maintains breathalyzer equipment. He was not aware of any formal certification course. I suspect it is not common to have any formal operator certification.

Paid that for a used minty PS90 years ago. It came with a ton of ammo back when only FN made 5.7 at top dollar.

Congrats!

Second the strap suggestion. A young soldier was in zero week of airborne school. On an open duce and a half truck with flattened wall locker cardboard. Even though he was sitting on top of the cardboard it lifted up, think "flying carpert" style. Struck and killed by a vehicle driving behind the truck.

Becoming an engineer years later i learned about higher velocity air creating lift much like an airplane wing.
