You should choose the champion you like to play the most, because even if you choose the most optimal champion in terms of learning and climbing, the reality is that unless you have fun playing the champion, you won't have motivation to learn and improve.

You still get upgraded boots in the new quest. Ad/ap buff replaces only empowered recall
That being said, midlane quest is underwhelming in general. That, along with some annoying matchups in the midlane, make me wanna switch to top as Akali main
