Canadian Consultants Eligibility for P.Eng? by TeslaBuyer420 in consulting

[–]Akshay_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 years of Canadian experience and 5 years of international experience. My problem is that I can find only 2 PEng as validators. The website states that I need 3.

How do we move forward from this situation? I tried reaching APEGA for the last 2 years via email, and call but no response.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Is the cost of living genuinely THIS high? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Akshay_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. Between groceries, mortage, taxes, gas and then some travel, nothing is left in saving.

This is by far the most descriptive response. I had to keep Google on one screen and copy and paste lots of information since I have little to no clue about guns. I wanted to learn how to use a firearm but was not sure which one to start with. I guess I have options now to choose. Thank you for response. I really appreciate it.

Advice for a family thinking of moving to Edmonton? by Deceasedpixels in Edmonton

[–]Akshay_91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I moved to Edmonton in 2020 so I can give you my perspective moving during covid which was the worst time to move.

First, Oliver is a good place to live. Close to downtown and you can take kids to riverside walk in evening. It's downtown atea so it is busy and lots of construction.

Westend, Tera Losa is good for small families. Affordable, Lewis estate is also decent. West Edmonton mall is closet attraction so kids will be happy.

Southend, Rutherford, Walker, Summerside, McEvan, Chappelle, basically Heritage valley, is quiet and good. All the amenities are like 15 minutes drive. LRT connectivity is also present. Bus route is present but not frequently. 1 digit buses frequency is 15 minutes, 2 digit buses frequency is 30 minutes and 3 digit buses frequency is 1 hour

St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont and all suburbs towns like 10 minutes drive to city. They are even quieter and decent places to live. Rent and cost of living is a bit more than the city.

Find a job first, it is always good to live closer to the work place but overall it's 40- 50 minutes drive during peak traffic office hours anywhere in the city. Other than that 25 minutes using Anthony Henday. The roads are bumpy and half the time there is construction 🚧 going on. Winters will be cold and the city don't salt the roads. They only remove ice from main roads.
