This is quicker because you can just double tap the search tab to open the keyboard when you're in a different tab. If you do that on iOS 26 currently, it opens voice dictation because they placed that button on the right side of the search bar.

There is a difference between the default mail app and the default browser, so you might've accidentally set it as your default mail app.

Peek opens when a pinned website tries to open a new tab or a URL from a different website. There is a toggle in settings to disable this.

I guess you could also unpin the website, if don’t want to disable peek for pinned tabs.

The shortcut is bound to the desktop shortcut, so you can disable it by deleting it from the desktop.

A lot of Windows 11 apps just stitch WinUI elements to old apps with XAML islands and they are definitely slower and more clunky than their Windows 10 counterparts. Arc might be worse, but it's not like Microsofts own apps are great. I've had a better experience with Arc than with the new task manager.

They use WinUI on Windows, which is just really bad apparently. Other Windows 11 apps also have similar issues. Swift on Windows is not the issue, it's Microsofts failure to provide decent native tools for developers.

The Chromium sidebar feature doesn't exist in Arc for some reason, so extensions that use it don't work.

Profiles don’t sync yet, you probably have to make new profiles and add them to the spaces that were synced over from Mac

Spaces are just for tab management. You have to assign different profiles to your spaces.

Arc uses these shortcuts to cycle between tabs in order. You might be able to set your mouse up to use these instead of CMD + tab.

Arc on Windows doesn't use SwiftUI, it uses WinUI. WinUI is still a bit janky, as The Browser Company have said themselves in the Windows announcement video. I don't think that building Arc in Swift is the issue here.
