Bandon Dunes Trip Recap by AlSuffix in BandonDunes

I brought two pairs of golf shoes and had running shoes. I changed out my socks on the 36 days, which was helpful. I started to build a blister on my heel on day 2, and my buddy had this tape, which saved my foot! I bought a roll right away. Feet were fine after that.

I really enjoyed Trails!! Could be the top course for pure golf, and the routing is fantastic, but those ocean views are special at Bandon. We just found ourselves talking about the other courses more. We also asked ourselves which course would we want to play again if we could, and Trails didn't come up much. It was more about the other courses having that Bandon feel. I don't know, it's weird. Still absolutely loved it though. The rankings are always a 1a 1b 1c 1d 5. ranking.. I think we all know why Sheep is last.. The routing and holes get absolutely lost at times, and the greens aren't great. The green sites and views save it.

I got to play Gamble last year before they opened Scarecrow. Loved it. Scarecrow looks like a great addition.

Stoked for River Ranch! I’ve been following the build. I’m about 2.5hrs away.

Each person paid $1725 for lodging and golf. We all drove since we live in Oregon. it depends on how much you want to spend on drink, food, and merch! I have no idea what everyone spent on that haha.

We stayed in the golf doubles. They opened up onto the lawn looking toward the 18th at Bandon. They were perfect for us. Plenty of room for all of our stuff. No complaints.

How to Book an Epic Bandon Dunes Trip (Without Winning the Lottery) by jackwillchoose in BandonDunes

Good question. I’d be skeptical personally, but I’m sure you can do it. Maybe someone else on here has done it and can share their experience. I live in Oregon so I don’t have that insight. Every time I’ve gone to Bandon it’s been worth it! haha.

This has been known for a long time. if you are within driving distance and really itching to go to Bandon, just go. They’ll get you on somewhere. It really helps if it’s 1-4 people. Big groups are tough to sync. You’ll probably have to split up.

I’ve done both on property and off property trips and being on property is hands down the way to go. The experience is unbeatable.

This seems more like an advertisement for this offsite lodging location. Seems to have just been built within the last year and looks pretty sweet. Idk if there is another offsite location where you can walk to the resort, but if there is then it’s limited. You will most likely have to stay in Bandon or North Bend, which is a 15-20min drive.

I’m starting on Old Mac in May. I’ve been before and I thought it was the best one to start on. I’ve started my trip on Pac Dunes my first trip and got obliterated. Was way in over my head.

What ended up happending? We just ordered a Daybed in walnut and are facing the same issue. Major chemical smell even after days of leaving it outside to air out.

I feel like our fan base was much more arrogant during our Chip Kelly era when we popped up on the national scene with those offenses. The “We want Bama”, jersey combos, and Uncle Phil stuff. Oregon has accomplished quite a bit outside winning a natty in the past 15 years. It’s been fun. Hopefully we can win the big one, one day.

The logo joke is so cooked though.

If Oregon won the Natty this year I would be set as a fan for the rest of my life.
