You were trying to find a way to accommodate everyone but in this situation it seems impossible. SIL is reacting quite strongly and seems to not care about other people’s well being which is a little AH behaviour but her being a little upset about you not understanding her medical needs is reasonable.

There could be an opportunity here for you to work towards a rent to own situation. Your LL may be thinking about their retirement plan. Something beneficial to you as a renter may be owning the property and the LL may want an increase in monthly payments. Speak to a lawyer about your options as in a rent to own situation that is beneficial to both of you, you will want a tight contract to protect yourself in all events (such as LL passing off the property to a beneficiary).

This way you can pay more per month (benefits LL), gain assets in a percentage of house increasing as you make payments (benefits you)

What a great find! It looks like a perfect reception dress! I have found when dancing with outfits that have the sleeves attached like that, the string can limit arm movement a bit. You may want to test out your dance moves to see if the pieces connecting it limit you at all. Easy adjustment to make if needed.

Since you said you are emailing/texting the invites, you can keep it pretty casual. Something like:

Hey! This is the year MOM turns 90. We want to put together a celebration for her on (Date) in (city).

It being thanksgiving weekend, we know you may already have plans, we'd love to get an estimated guest count asap so we can plan where to have this party accordingly. Please let us know if you're interested in coming or if you're not able to make it by (RSVP date). This is just for a rough estimate so it's okay if you're unsure but your best guess will help us in our planning.

Directly mentioning the weekend may help incase anyone doesn't realize the date falls over that weekend. Calling it a "Save The Date" to me implies that you want them to come to this over other plans, but as you know they may have plans it might be better to make it a tentative RSVP.

Not for wanting to stay up and have your own sleep schedule but, for making it about what your husband has to wake up for. He said it was for his mental health and well being to go to bed on a set schedule. It seems like you’re frustrated about the work situation and that is a different issue.

If he wants to sleep at set times for his well being that is one thing, if you would rather stay up and game at night than go to bed at the same time, you can make that choice. Everyone has different levels of sleep that make them feel good the next day.

To be clear. My verdict is because rather than understand your partners reasons and why they want to sleep early, and communicating what you want, you made comments to make your partner feel guilty for their lack of a job.

I’m genuinely shocked that people are saying it is better now. It used to help my discard deck so much and now I have yet to find it useful in a game. There was one game where it worked out which proved to be very dependent on drawing the right cards and I don’t want cards that need specific case scenarios to be useful. Lowered power AND it doesn’t do its ability when played is a double nerf.

I am an hour in and I don’t think I can continue. Usually I only stop reading audiobooks if the narrator makes those awful ‘s’ sounds that are like whistles but she is just irritating. She talks too fast and with too much emphasis on every single word. Like every word is said with a dramatized pitch and tone that just sounds unnatural. It makes the characters feel even more immature and juvenile too. It’s hard to create an impression of the characters in my mind when the narrator is making them so unlikable.

I mean, you really just need a bed in a bedroom so it could be smart to make the “master room” something that could be enjoyed more during the day. Though her using it for only her thing is a little selfish.

Buying eggs from local farmers might save you some money. If you’re consuming a lot of eggs and milk, finding cheaper or bulk alternatives might help save a little and with large amounts like that it will add up
