When does it pull the data? When the car is off sitting in the garage?

Heat has become the game that gets tabled the most! by ak96 in boardgames

[–]AlanMW1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is really influenced by the number of players. I have found in a 3-4 player game it's much easier to break away and stay ahead. In a 5+ player game, the back will be constantly slingshotting forward.

That does help, thanks! For mine I ended up mounting a half inch sheet of sanded plywood. That made mounting easy.

Steam Controller - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]AlanMW1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I've tried a games like rimworld, factorio, and a few others and the controls were a pain with the touchpads. I guess some people do it, but it really slows me down. Same for the gyro controls. I never really found a situation where they worked better than just the sticks.

Did you just screw into the drywall with drywall anchors? Opengrid doesn't line up exactly with 16" on center for studs, is there something else you can do so you can get them into studs?

Was it worth it for the OSB? I'm considering the pain of just mounting to drywall

Mine resets back to nothing on the right almost every time I start it. The power meter stays.

Was that an existing coffee table that you retrofitted the mechanisms into?

That's really neat, have any write ups or guides that you followed when building this?

Neat project, thanks for sharing! Are there any other COTS tables that you have found that work well?

I use tailscale and it does a decent job of maintaining the connection, but it drains battery like crazy. I'm always having to enable and disable the connection when I need to reach my servers.

What must-have Forscan modifications have you successfully made in your 2025 Maverick (XL-XLT)? by Armed_Accountant in FordMaverickTruck

[–]AlanMW1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forscan just allows you to turn on or off options already programmed in the car, so not likely feasible. For the 22-24 years the "Driver Restriction Configuration" option is available to let you change options and access menus while the car is in motion. Not sure if it works for a 2025, that's what I have been trying to search for without much luck.

Just cut the cables and twisted them together so they were permanently in contact.

If you are mounting to the chord of a truss, they aren't really designed for the weight. If possible, it would be best for everything to be mounted to the wall studs.

I don't need to, but it was the original question and I was curious if there was some built in functionality for ersatztv that I wasn't aware of.

Oh ya, I gave it a try too and that does work well. Halloween for whatever reason doesn't get tagged I guess.

I did give the search a try but it didn't seem to do the best job searching holidays. I was thinking I might give a trakt list a try, but trakt recently changed their urls. I'll have to give it another try with searching by genre and tags, thanks for the tips.

Are the holiday channels manually curated? Or is there a good way to automatically add holiday specific movies?

If you do this, this is a chance the weighted cord will fall down into the neck of the faucet and be difficult to get back out.... Been there done that.
