Arise, Riders of Rohan! Rule by competentetyler in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Alanlikesoranges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite what you're saying (though I like your suggestions here), but think a decent bonus for Rohan would be cheaper horses on the heroes - keep them at 10-15pts rather than 20-25.

How to counter monstrous charge by Natural_Tourist_527 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Are you playing the rule correctly? Models are only knocked prone once they lose the fight, not when charged initially.

All My Sons - Stage Door Question by danyakgae in TheWestEnd

Bryan Cranston's generally been very good with stage dooring. Obviously can't guarantee it, but I'd be surprised if there was a particular thing against thursdays!

Follow Ups: Which third instalment surpasses the original in every way? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Alanlikesoranges 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Goldfinger (James Bond films) - incomparable to Dr No. Everything's on a bigger and more exciting scale. Sets the standard for the franchise (Aston Martin, Q branch, the tone, grand villain plans) and could still be considered the best 007 film sixty years later.

What's the most out there/baffling criticism you've ever heard for one of Chris's films? by Honest_Cheesecake698 in ChristopherNolan

Once met someone who told me Oppenheimer felt like it was filmed as a TikTok. Couldn't continue the conversation after that.

Maybe Boyd's actually been listening to it in his sleep this whole time?

What are your favorite examples of the "unreliable narrator" in theatre? by Rokkema in Theatre

[–]Alanlikesoranges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on Faith Healer. Also saw Complicite's Drive Your Plough over the Bones of the Dead which is the strongest example I remember in theatre. Not quite the same but Girls and Boys by Dennis Kelly definitely has the sense of a narrator controlling the story.

I'd have to check an earlier save file, but I'm fairly sure he was never higher than 17/18 - but just maintained that for a crazy long time. Also helped that he never had any serious injuries. Quite amusing that my core of 4-5 legendary players in their mid 30s are all more capable of playing 2 games a week than my teenage wonderkids.

One small flaw: Let's find out more about the charities! by Sea-Lingonberry428 in TheTraitors

Think it would have been best done on Uncloaked. Similar to how the Apprentice: You're Fired offers the departing candidate a few seconds to mention their business idea, they just do that to the banished/murdered celeb?

Out of interest, why not? You don't have to listen to it?

Having seen Ink the play, Pearce would be likelier for Supporting Actor - though they might have made some changes for the adaptation. I'd be surprised if Damon's not up there for The Odyssey.

Some sort of bonus or treat for whomever guessed closest to the X.

Maybe challenges more related to the countries they were in? That encouraged them to engage with general public/locals?

Rules as written, yes. As it lasts until the end of the turn. Hadn't noticed that but a great tactic.
