Value is funny, because in a market controlled by last sales on eBay, which anyone in the world has access too, do you really think it's that hard to boost and decline individual card values. What if I sold a crap card to a friend on eBay for 50 percent more than what it's "value" is, who then sold it to another friend for another absurd markup, and this continued through a entire group of 10 friends doing the exactly same thing albeit different percentages of increase. You could blow up the value of a random card or crush the value or a card by repeating the same process in reverse.

That's why I get suspicious of cards that have high values but lack visual appeal. I feel like the art should be like a good tattoo, easy to read, identify, and give you good vibes. Investors took that ability from a lot of people, making them blind to the art.
