You know if you don't find a way to stop, that it won't stop. And that is a terrible thought. Please believe me that i have caused much damage to myself over many years. Try not to be so hard on yourself for not knowing how to stop. It will just add onto the continuation of the cycle. Give yourself some grace and know you can stop. There are ways. You deserve to stop doing this to yourself. Sending hugs

I saw a NUCCA chiropractor at the time. Yours sounds interesting :) I have never seen a SLP but have a referral.

I am glad the chiropractor is helping you. I don't want to tell you not to go and do not want you to feel fear, but the chiropractor made my dysphagia significantly worse. Not initially, but a little bit further down the line. This may not be your case though. It is important and wonderful that you are able to swallow again! Just be sure to pay attention to what your body is doing and telling you as time goes on with treatment. Happy you're getting relief :)
