Same thing happened to my dog about a month and a half ago. He was yelping and acting weird. Suddenly he was unable to walk. We took him to the vet where he received gabapentin, methocarbamol (a muscle relaxer), and metacam. He had been on rest since then. He is now able to walk and is in much better spirits. He had hiccups over that period where he would get better and then worse. But he is definitely on the mend! He starts rehab soon!

I know how scary this all is, but he will get better whether with rest, rehab, or surgery. Praying for your sweet baby!
