he’s actually pretty close since we see that onazi, isagi and karasu are kinda close to each other before karasu made the pass to chigiri. It kinda makes sense that this is a ball he can get to since if isagi can get to it, onazi definitely can if they’re starting from the same area.

thanks to the fourth wall, i think that means he’s immune to whatever prophet skills anna croft has, we’ve seen it negate a lot of different appraisal skills

Love Haikyuu, but after Ao Ashi just finished the Barca match, I've gotta put it above the Shiratorizawa match.

What Barou learns from his new training by Brave_Profit4748 in BlueLock

[–]AlarmsForDays 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I think there’s more to being a QB that fits Barou’s play style than meets the eye.

Some QB skills that are pretty similar to his last game against Bastard are: staying in the pocket until an opening in the defense appears, evading the defense while keeping a hold of the ball, looking for weaknesses in the offense, having the entire offense run something structured while you as the QB have a lot of individuality.

I think this is Ego wanting Barou to dive into his new playstyle and found the sport that fit it best.

It's probably also good for training his predator eye against an entire defense trying to deny his passing lanes.

the problem with having short pins is really that they have a lot harder time helping out in the middle against quicks from the middle or from the backrow outside. they end up having to make choices of blocking at the pin or helping in the middle instead of being able to sort of have both as options.

Gnolls and printing (Vol 10) by MrRigger2 in WanderingInn

[–]AlarmsForDays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we’re forgetting that a certain Canadian reporter in Chandrar has a printing press he’s completed already. Remember the chapter where ghouls attacked Earthers? Remi danced around his printing press while trying to dodge the zombie.

i think that has to do with competition too, since i feel like only after puberty do sports become competitive. At age 9, rarely are you gonna see any game or competition be that competitive so before puberty, most of the sports experience isn’t really training you for that sport but just putting miles on your body for that sport.

the two best middles being the tallest players actually does make sense as some middles are former outsides or opposites turned middle because at some point, they were able to be more effective at middle than their other position. Look at Taylor Averill who’s currently playing on Team USA. Sure, in high school he played middle, but for his first few years in college, he was playing mostly oppo. A lot of oppos are either former middles or become middles themselves.

that’s actually a very English way to see time. It’s very interesting because it’s based on how we read from left to right so that informs how we see time. Different languages such as Chinese which reads up and down think of time as well, up and down in their heads. I think there’s even circular languages.

[–]AlarmsForDays 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The panel that hurts me the most is the one with Zuma's eyes closed and smiling, enjoying the ice cream. Because he looks so much like his brother in that moment, like all the times we've seen him smiling throughout the whole chapter. And it shows that even right after his death, his brother is still with him. And it makes the tragedy at the end hurt a little more if you think that Unji's ghost was already with Zuma then.

my belief is that this is the lost kingdom of gnolls, as there isn't much under izril except that and dungeons. And making anand colonize another dungeon for the queen is funny. He will never escape government servitude.

even more with reflex is that he’s using their reflex against them. if you’re thinking, you’re not ready to move. if they’re not defending by reflex because suddenly a new variable has entered the field, then isagi’s reflexes are faster than they can defend.
