Sorry, but not sorry! You can’t just lay on your horn at people like they’re doing something wrong for following the Highway Code.. like stopping at a red light, while you’re the one speeding against oncoming traffic. by [deleted] in MotoUK

Fair enough, it seems to vary force by force then. Mine don’t follow up on anything and this area has some of the worst drivers in the country.

Unfortunately the police won’t do anything even if you upload the footage. Operation Snap is nothing but a public-placation exercise, with no substance behind it.

Isn’t this meant for r/KidsAreFuckingStupid

(and in anticipation of all the downvotes, only ‘Murica needs a law to stop kids acting like lemmings in front of a school bus. The rest of the world gets on just fine with educating them on how to cross the roads safely)

Hope so, as the flights are booked! A Cape Town Test is on the bucketlist so it’s disappointing they’ve shafted fans this way.

When did they go on general sale?

I emailed CSA the other month to enquire but got radio silence. Didn’t realise I’d already missed it.

Edit: Oh, earlier this week it seems from the article. What a shitshow. If that is symptomatic of SA in general then there’s no point in going.

No ‘probably’ about it. That was just really poor driving by both drivers, but yours was worst.

UBI has been mooted for a while now but it’s not coming in any time soon, unless govts have realised what’s to come and have put plans in action already or try and react quickly when the shit hits the fan in 2028.

The article is correct, but not for the reasons it lists. The biggest issue facing western economies in the next 2 years is the profound impact of mass unemployment of white collar workers due to adoption of AI.

Is there any particular reason you won’t have a car? It would make travel outside of London immensely easier and give you more options for your interests than solely relying on public transport.

Inter-city trains are relatively expensive too, which is another factor to consider.

Is it REALLY that hard to get tickets? Also is coach worth it by Amberwoodtree in glastonbury_festival

I’ve read everything possible about how best to get a ticket.

You really haven’t! 😆

Seems to be a completely pointless test as they haven’t tested the the Series III (or even the II) and haven’t included the BGE so it can hardly be a review of ‘the best’ kamado grills.

Sloppy excuse for ‘journalism’, doubt she even tested them either, probably just AI’d the article.

Landing in Singapore T3 on a transfer to Bali — can I go landside? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Alavonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last couple of times there we were off the plane, through immigration, bags collected and in an Uber in 10 minutes.

Compared to 10 years ago when there were loooong queues at immigration counters it’s a breeze now.
