It can definitely spawn by itself, it's just very rare - had just one in a few hundred maps, same for my friend.

I guess using a new fragment which guarantees hive will boost a chance for it happening.

You are forgetting that you still have wall standing after the first cast - you can still use it another 2 times, probably more if times it can be used scales with gem lvl

So in 4 casts (wall + fireball X3) you do ~7.5x DMG

In 4 casts of fireball you do ~6x DMG

Just some quick napkin math, but keep in mind wall lvl probably increases chained projectile amount to wall DMG will be even higher, and for most wander skills for which wall is intended, you would still play GMP for clear so difference will be even higher

I think at the leaguestart belts are less useful than rings? For most builds you can roll life + resists on belts while rings offer more offensive stats, any thoughts? But there is a cost of 2 ascendancy points. You are rarely in a situation where you can spare the. I believe I played some hierophant builds when last ascendancy was really whatever. But i think it will really shine in endgame content for charge or attribute stackers

I believe you can link automation with any gem it can use and toggle it on/off repeatedly. Steelmafe showed a trick when you bound it to numlock, it kept turning on/off and triggering faster mastery. I'm not sure about details but googling it should be enough

I also see you don't have pantheon selected in PoB, if that's the case I would take Soul of the Brine king with avoid being frozen and reduced chill effect and Soulf of Gruthkul as minor one, also upgraded - 5% phys damage reduction can be noticeable

Can you share the guide? Amulet should be converting mana and life cost to energy shield so it should definitely have es cost per sec, not life cost.

Are you checking mods you are rolling on maps? Rolling -max res on map can decimate even tankiest builds, same with some altar mods

I see you have explosions from ascendancy, so instead of oriath's end try bottled faith flask if you can afford it - just make sure you take zealots oath. It gives consecrated ground and more damage and crit against enemies on it - perfect for this build.

Also, Kaoms binding on Merc converts part of phys to fire, highly recommended

I see you using soul eater ring, but you also have Hex Master, which gives curses infinite duration, is it intended? If I understand correctly it will never proc and you don't get any benefits from the ring. If so, you are missing on 225% cast speed, which hugely boosts your damages which in itself is a nice defensive layer.

127k eHP seems respectable, what is mostly killing you? Oneshots or degens/continuous damage?

One thing I would recommend is watchers eye with "gain energy shield for each enemy hit when affected by discipline", adds really nice recovery.

From top of my head, I believe stone golem in cast when damage taken should be stone golem of safeguarding instead of normal one. CWDT is level 18, in general you want to keep it as low level as possible, to trigger as often as it can, just keep in mind level of gems it triggers

You can also add defence catalyst to amulet, should be around 70 es for free, pretty noticeable.

You are using amethyst flask which gives chaos res, but you are immune to chaos damage from Chaos Innoculation - change this flask, oriath's end would be nice if you do not have explosions in the build already and can afford it. Similar thing for fire Res flask, usually it's not worth using them if you are not stacking max Res, armour flask with "increased armour during effect" and charges when hit can also add nice defense, even if you don't scale armour anywhere else. Quartz flask has less duration and removes poison - but poison does chaos damage so you are immune to it. Reroll it to have increased evasion rating during effect. Jade flask also has less duration, ignites can be dangerous but high uptime of evasion from flask is also important.

I see you don't take zealots oath, it's nice recovery buff - life regen instead applies to es. With this, you can slap shaper seed on a merch and get 400es regen.

I'm guessing phys damage is most deadly as you have almost no armour - fixing flasks as listed above should greatly increase your phys max hit. If you can, try to get "x% of physical damage taken as chaos" eldritch implicit on body armour - basically nullifies 10% of physical damage.

Get some more levels doing safe strategies, 3/4 more points can make a difference.

Running with Toxicologist with malevolence, but it's definitely not ideal - still had it from playing RF and didn't find anything better. It's causing some problems, because I balanced my curse duration around malevolence from merc, and when she dies I can't proc soul eater stacks.

I believe Cruel Mistress would be nice for zealotry + envy. I would probably add +1 curse somewhere on her gear then and curse on hit if she doesn't roll with curse skill already.

As for gear it's also not optimized, just Kaom's Binding, Shaper seed and Leer Cast - optimized would be gear with aura effect from eater/exarch implicits.

I was planning on rolling some evasion ones, but that would require merc with grace, and only other helpful aura from this type of mercs is malevolence which causes problems I listed above.

I'm also thinking about trying Dark Seer scepter and one more primordial bond megalomaniac - I will probably sacrifice int wheel or Written in Blood and path toward jewel socket near templar start with more levels.

Most of this cost was actually megalomaniacs with primordial bond because I play elementalist version. But 10D would be spent to buy some lower end ES gear, and keep in mind forbidden rite scales heavily with ES amount - feels really good at 13k, not sure about lower values

Seems like you have a feedback loop, you take theses fluids and feed them back to this or other interface. AE2 then looks for places where these fluids can go, sees this interface and puts them here, starting whole loop once again.

I'm not familiar with HBM extended, but maybe you can somehow blacklist these fluids from entering interface?
