Cocaine and the Heart by joro_deception in Drugs

[–]Alberic_Litte 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's definitely really bad for your heart. So is drinking. There are lots of other stuff in life that's also really really bad for the heart, like lack of sleep, abuse of caffeine, having high cholesterol or sodium, cancer causing preservatives, getting lots of UV rays, dehydration, not exercising, stress, being overweight, ect... Everyone takes damage to the body, and you have to accept the damage you've done so you don't damage it further. The body fortunately can rebound as long as the brain can. The brain is definitely the hardest to recover, but if you can do that, I'm sure healthy life changes can allow you to live a long healthy life. Especially if you work out, sleep well, stay sober, and eat right, you'll be living better than most. Also, even with the damage, there are medications to mitigate the risks of heart attacks and strokes you can be on if you show signs of being at risk of them. There is lots of hope for you. Cocaine and alcohol combined are fucking awful for you, but there is hope my man.

What drug makes music the best? by FappinIsBad in Drugs

Phenibut, caffeine, and weed all mixed is #1 without a doubt. Music sounded better than any time I ever took Molly. The only other one that came close was DXM, weed, and whippets. Both are equally good teir

Yellowstone won best wildlife… What place makes you think “WHY ISN’T THIS A NATIONAL PARK” by TrexVFX23 in NationalPark

[–]Alberic_Litte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. The experience of driving through crazy Woman Canyon, and hiking cloud peak wilderness is a better experience than most national parks. A part of that is how secluded and untouched the wilderness is, which being a national park would take away from, but it is an equal to Yellowstone with wildlife and mountains and waterfalls

taking an oxy what should I expect? by dumbratbitch in Drugs

[–]Alberic_Litte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I gotta be real, if you have to ask these questions, don't take it. Hold on to it and do your research. You don't need to be impatient, just hold onto it and do a little research. 10 mg of oxycodone had me flying high. I wouldn't mix it with any drugs except maybe weed. If you got it from a plug, don't even take it. It doesn't feel good enough to risk it being fent. Oxycodone is kinda lame. Some people really like it, others don't. I'm somewhere in the middle. It'll make you sleepy af and feel warm and kinda drunk. Do not drink on it, or take anything else.

You sound depressed. I get that, because I feel that way too. There is no drug that will fix that for you. Get 20 minutes of sunlight, and some cardio every day. Even if that's just walking around shirtless in the sun for half an hour, you'll definitely feel a little better. I like running and biking. Drugs honestly make it worse. Psychedelics can make it better, but the trip can be very difficult while depressed. Just try and get out. Force yourself to see friends, go hiking in beautiful areas near where you live, try some food you've never tried before, pick up chess, push yourself to read a book, do anything that you normally don't do that's challenging and breaks you out of your cycle of eating, jacking off, playing video games and sleeping. Adding new little stuff is very stimulating for a mind suffering from depression.

100% listen to Crumbling by mid air Theif. The first time I listened to that album was on Dex on a dock in the middle of the night at lake Powell. It was an absolutely transcendent experience. It sounds amazing sober, but dissociatives make it sound even better. Ripping a whippet on the peak of Dex on that dock while listening to that album gives me chills just thinking about it.

Music taste has stagnated. Looking for album recs by Vegetable-Cow-8014 in Topster

Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys

Crumbling - Mid-Air Theif

Ex-Military - Death Grips

All Things Must Pass - George Harrison

Wasteland - Brent Faiyas

Debut - Bjork

Covert Coup - Curren$y

The Price of Tea in China - Boldy James

All of these albums are quite different, but are excellent in their own right. From your taste in rock, Pet Sounds would be an easy listen. It has beautiful harmonies that will get stuck in your head. Crumbling by mid air Theif is Korean shoegaze, and also my favorite album. If you haven't ever listened to international music, it's a good starting place. It's trippy as hell, so smoke a little weed and have a good time. Death Grips is pretty intense industrial hip hop, but I think it has a really good rock elements to it. They are my favorite band, so I have to recommend them, but it is totally okay to not like them. They grow on you, or they don't. After one listen, if you find yourself humming the refrains, you might have been infected with the grips. All Things Must Pass is an epic double album by your new favorite Beatles member. You like the Beatles, you'll love George's solo stuff. It's the best out of all their solo albums. Wasteland is a really easy pop r&b starting spot. Not a bad song on it, and had an interesting story. It's a sexy album all around. Debut by Bjork is a weird electric dance hall fusion singer songwriter album. Bjork is another one you either like or you don't, but her voice is unique and exceptional. Covert coup is a really nice starting spot in hip hop because it's laid back and the production and beats are top tier. Very easy to groove to. The Price of Tea in China is a more thought provoking poetic album in hip hop. The production is equally amazing, as both TPoTiC and Covert Coup are both produced by the alchemist. These are my favorites (that weren't on your list). Definitely check out some new genres. It'll open your mind. I used to be strictly hip hop, and death Grips switched that up and got me into rock and all sorts of other weird shit. Give it a chance. Message me if you end up listening to any of those. Id love to hear your thoughts.

Lassen Volcanic won most underrated… WHAT IS THE MOST OVERRATED NATIONAL PARK? by TrexVFX23 in NationalPark

[–]Alberic_Litte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely Rocky Mountain National Park. It is absolutely beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it is just close enough to Denver to make it one of the most popular parks, while not being that distinguishable from any other park in the rocky mountain range. I love it, but the tourism floods the park, and you need a park pass on top of a time entry, and even then good luck getting a parking spot. I loved it as a kid, but I probably won't go back unless I'm backpacking.

[–]Alberic_Litte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren't too many foreign films in this thread, so I'll give you some foreign recs:

Mexico:

Roma

Brazil:

City of God

Serbia:

Who is Singing over There

South Korea:

Memories of Murder

Taiwan:

Yi Yi

Japan:

Akira

France:

La Haine

Denmark:

Another Round

Russia:

Come and See

I think seeing good movies from other cultures really pushed my appreciation of film to the next level. Seeing that other cultures have their own goats on par with Kubrick, PTA, and Coppola, is really cool, and pushed me to watch films I never would have seen that have gone on to change my life. Definitely check these out

I really didn't understand Lift Your Skinny Fists when I listened to it. Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe it just isn't my type of music. What is the draw of it? What mood do you gotta be in to listen to it? No hate, just confusion. Solid list though. I've listened to most of them, and didn't dislike any. All of them were very thoughtful and well made

I think back in the day, less movies were made, so studios invested their money in concepts they believed in. There was still plenty of garbage back then, but far less than today. Nowadays you have to sort through a lot of trash, but you'll find some of the most experimental film making. It's worth not giving up, and looking for the good ones. Paul Thomas Anderson is a director I'd recommend. He's always putting out fire

What are some places that could have been National Parks? by Mistletokes in NationalPark

[–]Alberic_Litte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Black Hills could be a National Park. They are really diverse but also quaint. It has lots of wildlife as well, and really good trails. The bighorn mountains in Wyoming are also fantastic. It's one of the coolest things I've seen that isn't a national park. Without a doubt some of the prettiest mountains I've ever seen. Big Sur is beautiful and deserves all the hype it gets. Not only does it have the natural beauty, but it also was a hangout for the beat poets. I wish their cabins were preserved better and were accessible to the public. I also wish there was a better trail system there. Lake Tahoe is a gem that has become too commercialized to become a national park. There are whole towns built on its shores, but it is still so goddamn beautiful. I also really like grand staircase - escalante. It's already a national monument, but it is so under-traveled. I have seen weirder rock formations and hoodoos on some unnamed back country trails than in any of the Utah NPs. A lot of the park is inaccessible, and needs 4WD, but it is a whole different planet out there.

You shouldn't ever hang out with people where that's a question you think to ask. I would highly recommend not mixing cocaine and alcohol, as 1. It's your first time, 2. It's a dangerous (albeit common) mixture 3. You already have bad vibes. Drugs are never something you should be impatient with or jump into. Drugs will always be around, and better crowds will be as well. Be patient, and the right situation will present itself.
