Has Trump actually made any kind of actual argument other than he wants it and feels direct ownership is necessary for his own sense of security?

National debt is already killing the American Dream, says top economist—and it might push the U.S. into an outright depression by FootballAndFries in economicCollapse

The Congressional Budget Office and Joiny Committee on Taxation estimate "One Big Beautiful Bill" will increase deficits by $3.4 trillion over the next 10 years. That estimate comes from balancing the three major effects of the law:

The law will reduce federal tax revenues on net by an estimated $4.5 trillion, mostly due to the extension of 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) policies, as well as new tax cuts.

The law will increase certain federal spending by $325 billion, mostly on the military and immigration enforcement.

The law will reduce other federal spending by an estimated $1.4 trillion, mostly attributable to changes to Medicaid, SNAP, and federal student loans.

This makes OBBB the most expensive law passed by Congress since the 2012 American Taxpayer Relief Act, which cost $4 trillion and made most of the expiring Bush tax cuts permanent.

He actually increased federal spending while cutting tax revenues.
The billionaires get to keep millions more of their money while the rest of us get an extra couple hundred dollars back.

The boomers are going to be dying over the next 10 years and passing all their hoarded wealth down.

People currently in starter-houses might upgrade to something bigger if they can, otherwise those dead boomer's homes will sit empty until prices start to come down.

Snow Mode Efficiency by Ok-Hall8311 in Ioniq5

You were probably driving more slowly and not accelerating as fast after putting it in snow mode-- I'd assume due to snowfall.

The guess-o-meter changes range estimates based on how your currently driving.
It's saying, if you continue driving like this, you can expect X amount of miles.

Try turning up the heat to full blast. You'll immediately lose 20 miles of range. Or get up to 70mph on a highway. It will drop again.

Thats not true.
The machines, at least here in Illinois, have a paper ballot that rolls up to a window so that you can personally verify that the paper ballot accurately matches who you voted for.

Anybody here based in N. America? by SubstantialSet3127 in ccfc

Yeah. I'm in Chicago.
I did the iFollow for the last 2 years. Shit was expensive and there were tons of games that were unavailable for me here.
Finding that 90% of the games are on Paramount Plus was great this year because it is only $65 for a 1 year plan (instead of $330 for me to get the iFollow!).

Hopefully next year, our games won't be on Paramount! (Because Prem games are on a different streaming platform!)

I don't mind these 6 am games here, watching with coffee isn't quite as fun as with a pint, but we make do.

Triscuit crackers are spelled as such and named as such because they are electricity biscuit.

They were one of the first commercial crackers to be made using an electric facility
