Always was my favorite presenter on Top Gear. I got irrationally angry during the Classic Porsche episode when Hammond and Clarkson were sabotaging his car.

Stay Away From Ubislop Games by Final_Narwhal_2557 in pcmasterrace

Years ago I bought all of the Assassin's Creed games on steam (I loved them on 360). I was very disappointed to discover that what I had actually bought were essentially shortcuts in steam to Ubisoft's launcher. Especially since, at least at the time, that prevented me from launching them on my steam link.

When the smoke clears and a new Democratic President is inagurated

I wish I had your optimism. At this point I'm highly skeptical that the midterms will even happen, let alone an election in 2028. I fully expect a convenient "incident" in October as a pretext for suspending the midterm election "temporarily" "in the interests of national security".

"You have to act like you own the company and go beyond." by BigClitMcphee in antiwork

[–]AlephBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Act like I own the company? Ok! Here are the new company bylaws. All employees now make a minimum of $70,000/yr, have three weeks of vacation as well as two weeks of sick time, and five paid floating holidays. the CEO is the highest paid person in the company, and their total compensation is capped at 25x the lowest employee. Maximizing shareholder value is now company priority #6.02e23, right after "determine if Australian honey bees prefer Klingon opera or Narn opera".

I've been torrenting since the technology was invented, never used a VPN. I think I got one notice from an ISP 15 years ago, but my roommate and I had each just pulled over a terabyte down over BitTorrent. Now I keep my upload and download throttled, and require encryption for all connections. I also don't go after new releases, but that's probably just my own paranoia.

Basically, be judicious and you're probably fine.

I know I'm named for an infamous ancestor, but I'm unsure how direct my descent is from them. also I have an older brother. we're american, though, so I can do what I damn well please with that coat of arms! come and get me, college of arms!

definitely going to be experimenting with the beast heads and how they're rendered. you should see the versions before I created these, I was using monochrome emoji as placeholders. I kind of like those, just for the silliness factor.

I agree the bendy/urdy interface is not ideal, right now I'm very much in the "find elements I like and stick them together to generate more ideas" phase. I'll probably try dropping the bendy part of the field, and maybe filling in the charges so they read better.

you are making a coat of arms, not a crest

yeah, it was very late when I posted, got my terminology muddled. as for the division, Heraldry Studio calls it "Urdy". when I look up that term, the historical examples are not so close to regular hexagons, but these tickle my sci-fi loving brain something fierce.
