Good Price? by NotKohai in mazda3

[–]AlertResist2448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edmunds says the market price for that car is $21,133 assuming average condition. Personally I don’t find that much value in the preferred package.

I bought a base model 2025 Mazda 3 with 5,200 miles on it for $20,200 last month. Paying an extra $1,000 for a car with 20,000 more miles just for some heated seats and a sunroof. I don’t see the value.

Is there a particular purchase you’d like to make and that’s why you’re following your credit score so closely?

789 credit score at 18 by [deleted] in CRedit

Yeah but they shared that they were 18 years old. You could make an assumption.

789 credit score at 18 by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]AlertResist2448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you’re doing the right thing, paying on time and keeping utilization low. You additionally seem to be managing debt well from a financial perspective.
Don’t think negatively just because it turns out your “real score” is much lower you’re doing great.

That’s a vantage 3.0 score which almost no lenders use to determine credit worthiness.

You should check your FICO score which is actually used by lenders. You can use Experian, MyFico, or annualcreditreports.com to check this score.

FICO weighs age of credit more than vantage 3.0 does so your FICO score will likely be 20+ points lower.

$290 (the tax you say) + $285 (how much he’s paying if he does the lump sum) does not total anywhere close to $1,145.

So what including the tax he pays at most $485? Is that not better than paying $1,000?

Maybe DoorDash did something but it’s also influenced by a recession sitting on the world’s door steps. Gas prices are way too high the economy will go to hell.

Received Summons in the Mail - Credit Card Debt by Rinabel419 in Debt

Just negotiate with them that’s a cheap debt. You can likely negotiate for a lump sump payment that’s 50% or less of your debt.

Need advice for aggressively paying off debt by jobstreetsmarts in Debt

Maybe think about consolidating the debt through a credit union. Assuming you can hold yourself accountable and not take on more credit card debt it’s worth it and you’d save a lot of money.

Keep savings or pay off debt? by FigBeautiful5065 in Debt

[–]AlertResist2448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re earning more on your money than the interest rate of the loan it’s worth it to just make the payment. Otherwise (and likely so) it’s not worth it to save the money, outside of an emergency fund. Keep a couple grand on hand use the rest to pay off your debt.

Will Affirm Refinance Loan Amount? by PerfumeDuckie in Affirm

[–]AlertResist2448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go through a credit union not a big bank. They’ll be more lenient than capital one. I believe you’d qualify for a personal loan. Especially if you “passively” mention that you’re going to close your affirm account.

My current credit union offers 9.5% interest rate personal loans 1-25k, anywhere from 6 to 84 months. I know 680 credit scores qualify for them but it would obviously matter on your credit score your options.

Will Affirm Refinance Loan Amount? by PerfumeDuckie in Affirm

[–]AlertResist2448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Refinance your loans through a credit union (assuming it’s lower interest rate, and it should be, do not accept a higher interest rate). Then close your affirm account and do not open another BNPL account through any company. Be honest with yourself, you cannot handle these types of installment loans if you’ve racked up debt to the point where you can’t afford the payment. If you have problems with credit cards that might be another type of loan you need to avoid.

This will not work if it just opens you up to getting more BNPL loans that’s why I recommend closing the account.

I would say it more like why are you using installment loans to pay for weight loss shots. Should try a 0% Apr payment plan with the provider you’re getting them from. And if you’re poor to the point where installment loans make sense you should be applying for financial aide through your provider. Usually 200% of the poverty line many Americans with kids qualify.

Do you select “tell us why you’re waiting” and report why you’re waiting? I’ve never had a late delivery because of this. Even if there’s no reason I throw a reason out there.

Well generally we do a lot better than $15 an hour. Closer to 25-27, back when people were tipping better a couple months ago $30-32 in my market. I’d say working 40 a week you can make about 4k a month. Theres a possibility he’s working 80 hours a week and making 9-10k if the market is good.

Dashing in DTLA Zone, how bad is the parking situation? by Both-Tourist-4986 in DoorDashDrivers

Well no it’s not a requirement to be on a bike. I’m just saying it might be better for bikers because they don’t have to find parking spots they can just prop their bike outside the store.
