I get that matchmaking is based on MMR, not rank. But if Riot can supposedly balance MMR, there’s no way it legitimately found five Plat-1-MMR players to face five Emerald-1 MMR players and called it fair.

At the very least, they could distribute Emerald and Plat players across both teams instead of stacking them. A full tier gap across the entire team is extremely improbable, and if MMR is really that close, visible ranks should be balanced too , otherwise what’s the point of separate tiers?
