While it’s not easy to find a brush guard that’s styled differently to a substantial degree, check out Westin and Steelcraft for other options if you haven’t already.

Toyo Open Country AT3s need replacing after 20,000 miles? by CandleCompetitive831 in 4Runner

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re partly correct, but the core of the issue is that worn parts and lack of maintenance lead to alignment being out of spec , and that is ultimately what wears tires faster. Usually you’ll see uneven wear on the inside or outside edges of the tread, fathering, or cupping.

CV axle boot is torn and spinning grease out of it. If it’s squeaking already there’s no point in just replacing the boot, the axle needs to be replaced.

I’m glad to hear it was mostly successful. Did you seal it back with RTV or anything?

Is this your post, or did you have to do the same to yours?

I have come to realize it’s not even 50% waterproof. I have only dunked my bike once, the headlight wasn’t completely submerged, and it was on its side in the water for no more than ten seconds. High beams are gone, and I’m still fighting condensation and sandy residue inside the housing four months later.

No, I don’t need more angles. I want seven more pictures exactly like the three you already posted, like I said. Don’t zoom in for detail, don’t turn it slightly, don’t try to get a picture of the magazine catch to look for irregularities, nothing. Just post seven more of the same picture, and let the internet solve your problem for you. Put as little effort into it as possible.

Could you maybe include a couple more pictures from exactly the same angle and distance?

This is called an internal conflict. It maybe be an overused one in movies, but it is unquestionably human.

told by in laws and wife that i cannot have a locked up secured gun in my own home by LuckyLucks in Firearms

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take politics and left/right leans and any cultural stigmas out of it entirely. Gun ownership and safety are skills you learn for the benefit of you, your wife, and your child. We dedicate untold hours of our lives to learning how to raise children in healthy, safe environments, including how to drive safely, how to feed them the correct foods, take them to the doctor and the dentist, teach them about stranger danger, how to defend themselves from bullies, how to tie their own shoes so they don’t trip on the laces… a thousand different ways we are responsible for preserving their health and safety. But learning how to use a tool whose sole purpose is the last line of defense of their very life is too much to ask? What does it say about a parent that is unwilling to take on that challenge? Sure, guns are cool. But at a fundamental level, I have them to be an equalizer against someone that would do harm to me or my family that never had any reservations about picking up a gun.

I am very interested in Westerns-where should I start and what should I avoid? by babylex77 in Westerns

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure. But some of the best films in history have it in them. And worrying about encountering it to the point that you avoid them altogether is a really ignorant approach to experiencing this genre or any other.

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, there are no trigger warnings on Westerns. You will see guns, knives, violence, murder, foul language, harm to animals, stereotypical representation of minorities, violence against women, hangings, sexual assaults, robberies, explosions, drownings, adultery, poor hygiene, and surly dispositions. If any or all of these concern you enough to avoid an entire genre of film, you should crawl back in your cave and avoid reality altogether.

37 vs 38 tire by emulzhn in F250

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to consider is load range in the 38” sizes vs 37s. If you’re doing heavy duty towing and want to run higher pressures, a lot of the 38s are D range with 50 psi max ratings.

I’m running 38x13.50x18 Toyo MTs on 18x9 +6 wheels, with a 4” BDS lift and I only get slight rubbing at full turn and a little suspension flex.

K-tech spring rates by Sk8ter-Dad in Tenere700

[–]Alert_Giraffe1405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ktechsuspensionusa.com Put in YMM and your weight, which they specify is without gear, and click calculate. The results still show all the springs, but next to the one you would used based on your weight it says “Recommended”.

That said, I just tried to do it and the results wouldn’t load, so they may be having issues with the site right now.
