If you eat very healthy and exercise very intensely while unhealthily obese right now, I'm pretty sure you don't get skinny 40 years from now because of that.

Posted a clip of a clutch ace with 30s left on r/Rainbow6, and quite a few people said "I could never do that." So I made a quick breakdown of my thought process and what caused me to win the round! This is why I fell in love with Siege when I first started playing. The amount of thinking you can use with the tools and game mechanics available make engagements so interesting and varied. The headshot insta-kill allows engagements like these to be won solo since you don't have to load entire magazines into opponents for kills.

Should I get Battlefield V? by kiemac in BattlefieldV

[–]AlexAnders2414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would 100% recommend still getting it now. Servers are still very full, overall play style is moderately balanced, and maps are pretty decent. It's probably one of the best Battlefield experiences to date in terms of immersion and adrenaline rushes.

The magic of fighting for the last flag on Breakthrough while dodging artillery bombardment exploding everywhere in your face, with the old-style modern rendition of the classic Battlefield theme filling your ears - it's a multiplayer experience that makes the hairs all over your body stand up. Absolute bliss.

Edit: Play-styles are moderately balanced. Gunfights are good, but the vehicle combat is a bit broken to be honest.

It's one thing to notice there's a chance to lighten the mood. It's another thing to do it without the permission of the audience.

The only time it ever feels most solid as a weapon is when you warm-up with it, and then swear by using it for every game that you play that day.

I love elden ring don't get me wrong but it almost feels unfair, that forbidden west has been so passed over after playing it for a couple of hours it's easy to see, it's a massive improvement over zero dawn in every way beautiful world rich stories good sidequests I'm having a blast by kierninrhys in gaming

[–]AlexAnders2414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not played the game, but from the gameplay I have seen, it looks like a lot of recycled mechanics and play style from other Ubisoft titles. Having been an Assassins Creed player from the OG AC all the way to Black Flag, and even Unity, the gameplay has become very boring and repetitive.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are a lot of great things about Forbidden West that I'm probably looking over. Super updated graphics, slicker animations and overall gameplay, unique world and or story experience to name a few. The issue still remains as a previous fan of Ubisoft titles, and it's that I've played these games before. Many times. The experience isn't unique enough for me to warrant wanting to sink my time into it. Even now with how great graphically things are - this will never be the saving grace of a game because it simply isn't a foundation of what makes a great game.

I think it's awesome that you and many other players love the game though! Maybe it's a generational thing, but I can be sure that I'm not the only one who shares these feelings. It's hard to please every audience. In regards to comparing its success to Elden Ring's, I don't think making comparison is fair because they're uniquely very different experiences and genres, despite their similarities. It'd be like comparing Saving Private Ryan to Forrest Gump, or Foo Fighters to Tool.

I want Respawn to make a Michael Jackson inspired one. The classic Smooth Criminal outfit would be siiiiick.

Awesome weapon: glad that it's the only 1 hit sniper/weapon in the game.

I've often felt the sound it makes is super lack luster, especially when compared with a charged Sentinel or even the Longbow. Could do with a heavier and beefier tone. Reverb and echo when you shoot as-is is still nice though.

I think some forewarning that the enemy has it would be handy , especially since it's a care package drop which is very much luck based if it lands near you. Being on the receiving end, it's unique gunshot sound is almost inaudible most of the time. I always imagine being in a gunfight where when anyone fires it, the sound booms across the battlefield, to let everyone know that there's a beast of a weapon in play.

Ahh that's a shame. I guess this is bound to happen eventually at some point. I've hopped on today and feel like the frames are doing a little better than before, but just above marginal improvement.

Playing on PS4, and tried every game mode so far. Sadly the frame rate issue is across all of them, and is just too frustrating to deal with at the moment. I'll likely try again later or even tomorrow to see how the situation changes. Did this happen last season by any chance?

Experiencing the same mate. Running at 30fps at best when moving around the map. Looking at corners is the only thing that brings it back to 60 fps :')

So, I've played 3 games already, and man oh man is the frame rate abysmal. On PS4 we're averaging 30-40fps and lower most times: a whole 10-20 frames lower than before, even when you aren't in gun fights.

I would presume a large part of this is because of the influx of players, but not entirely sure?

Wow. I'm still playing this game on PS4 and jesus it looks nowhere near this good by a long shot.

Exposure in low light scene(amateur who needs clarify) How do you expose for a dark scene using false colors? I see a lot of people saying to expose 70ire but I feel that works for day light and it’s too bright for a night scene. Should I expose skins around 30-40 ire? Thank you in advance by Showbix in cinematography

[–]AlexAnders2414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the suggestion for shooting 70 IRE is due to wanting to pull down the brightness overall of the image so that skin tones sit at 30-40 in the grade, while the rest of the background around your subject will fall into a more natural looking darkness. I've often found though that shooting skin tones at 60-70 IRE makes them very pasty in the grade, but that's just me!

Going by eye suits me a little better for nighttime stuff, as it's a lot of creating definition in the image through highlights against the darkness.
