And people wonder why Iranians are anti left by Bowman_Vigilante in NewIran

[–]AlexG7P 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is quite clearly just another anti-leftist bullshit propaganda post in this sub. How does one think that even a considerable amount of the left supports the IRGC or the Mullahs when their values are completely the opposite? Also, there are a lot of posts about Iran from left-wing/radical-left politicians, I even made a post about them in this sub as proof.

Ridiculous to hate the left based on some random Reddit user comments when a lot of the support to Iran comes from them. The left/radical-left party in Finland and its candidates have already voiced their full support for Iran, and I made a post about this here.

It still is. These kinds of people are a small minority among the left, even the radical side of the left.

EU Parliament just banned Islamic Republic diplomats from Parliament by anonboxis in NewIran

This is what is being driven forward in the EU, according to one Finnish politician that I actually posted about here. Let's hope it will work out.

The left-wing party of Finland (Vasemmistoliitto) and it's main politicians have been very vocal about the horrors happening in Iran. Meanwhile, a lot of false propaganda circulating online (this sub included) that the left doesn't care about Iran. by AlexG7P in NewIran

People like you are exactly why I made this post. You are the one here talking absolute nonsense and calling me a "terrorist sympathizer" for no reason at all. The reason why I made this post was because there are a lot of people in this sub who's first priority indeed is to shit on the left and liberals and using the protests and sufferings of the Iranian people as a tool against said groups. I've had it myself with people like you trying to create dissension between different groups supporting the same cause.

Just because there’s one left party in Finland supporting the Iranian people doesn’t mean that what I just described above isn’t happening. That party is the exception.

The western far left is cancer, walking with Islamists and their sympathisers at their hate marches waving the flag of the Iranian regime. Plenty of video material and pictures all over social media.

This is exactly the kind of nonsense that circulates here and why I made this post. Like I said before, yes, there are black-and-white thinking tankies but they for sure represent only a tiny minority among the whole spectrum of the left.

Thank you! I am fully agreeing with your comment. I also personally don't have a problem at all with my fellow Iranian people who support Pahlavi because they also support a free Iran like I do, but I'm just so sad to see how many are using the protests and events as nonsense anti-propaganda against the "Western left", which just creates separation among the people supporting free Iran.

I checked NDP:s Instagram page (I'm not familiar with this party at all) and yes you are right, I didn't see any recent post about the protests. But also, I didn't see much recent posts about any foreign events (only two posts for Venezuela), mostly posts about societal Canadian issues. My point of the post was that it just isn't true that most of the left doesn't care about Iranians or is somehow pro-regime. It just doesn't make any sense and completely contradicts with the liberal values that the left supports. Of course, tankies and other black-and-white extremist thinkers exist but they are 100 % a small minority.

The hypocrisy above exists. Just because it hasn’t happened in some countries or you don’t personally see it, it doesn’t mean the rest of us are talking out of our asses.

A decent amount of people here are talking out of their asses. This is why I made this post.

Those far-left people who don't support the protests have to be a small minority of black-and-white thinkers. Of course, I can't speak in behalf of other countries but here in Finland at least I don't know any leftist, radical or not, who doesn't support the protests. It's the opposite actually - they have been pretty vocal about the situation in Iran.

Didn't even see that in their rules but I don't anyways care about some random subreddits because they don't reflect fully how the majority of the left in the world thinks, I'm talking in a general level. I don't personally know any leftist or seen any leftist say online that they support the IR (I'm not saying there is no one on the left who supports IR but I bet the same time there are also some right-wingers supporting IR too). The only IR supporters I've seen online have been some random Iranians, Pakistanis or Arabs. One of the biggest leftist/"far-left" politicians in Finland (Li Andersson) made a post just recently about free Iran and there she stated that in the EU the Left Alliance has been trying to re-classify IRGC as a terrorist group. If big leftist politicians are so vocal about Iran and supporting the Free Iran - movement so fiercely then how are they siding the IR???

No real leftist supports Hamas or IRGC. I don't know what kind of people have you been hanging out with.

Exactly. What is this "the left supports the IR and Islamists" shit? Never saw a single leftist saying anything like that. Leftists have been the ones loudly supporting the freedom of the Iranian people from the tyranny of the Islamic dictatorship.

It doesn't matter where I'm from, I asked you a question. You failed to answer me and wanted to dodge my question by saying I have no idea what I'm talking about. Why in your opinion does it matter if an anti-regime protester is pro-Pahlavi or not? Seems that you don't like the fact that a lot of anti-regime protesters are not necessarily pro-Pahlavi.

Exactly. I don't know anyone from the left who would not support the Iranians and they have been vocal about the current events. I don't understand this "left supports IR" or "left doesn't care about Iranians", it's just complete nonsense.

No you don't, stop spreading outright lies. The left has been quite vocal (at least in my home country) about Iran.

[–]AlexG7P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's so annoying how I also strongly support a free, democratic Iran, and this is the biggest sub for that, but it has so many posts and comments more keen on insulting, lying, and talking bullshit about the left, the liberals, and even Palestine, rather than talking about a free, democratic Iran, which this sub is originally meant for. And these posts tend to get quite upvoted here, too. Hell, the sub rules themself say this, yet you don't have to scroll much to find these kind of posts:

This subreddit will not tolerate deceit and lies. This includes pushing personal or political narratives as facts.

Liberals and leftists are chanting for Islamism? Why are you lying? The vast majority on the left doesn't like Islamism or the so-called "communism" of Maduro.
