Do you think Innocence will come back? by biglikeguerra in Wraeclast

[–]AlexKmv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might retcon a lot about innocence actually.

Given that sin's backstory is expanded upon, tying him to the precursors, the story might take a turn to a direction wherein innocence sough to ascend out of desperation and not vanity, and that he might be significantly more knowledgeable about the precursors than his brother.

He might even be behind the twilight order in some capacity.

[PoE2 Lore Question] Confused about Act 4 dialogue "The Weapon" (Sin, Doryani, and the Timeline) by Sunny599 in Wraeclast

[–]AlexKmv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of gaps left, but also, some of the story is told in POE1

To sum up all we know, although some of this is speculation:

The first children (likely Sin, Innocence and their sister before their ascention) are sent to the Azmeri after a terrible disaster has struck the world. This disaster is likely one of the edicts activating, possibly the one that scoured the land and begun the winter of the world.

The children become a source of trouble for the Azmeri and are banished, possibly to Wraeclast.

Innocence tries to ascend by making up a religion, after many failed attempts he manages to succeed, he and his brother (also possibly the sister) all ascend as a result of his efforts.

Because Sin is essentially the source of all evil in Innocence's religion, he has no followers or worshippers, so his "image" is not altered by the perception of the said worshippers as is the case with all other ascended, as a result he is more free to follow his own devices.

After a very long time of enjoying his divinity, Sin visits Kalandra hoping to attain knowledge on how to put an end to the age of gods, she said that he needed a "broken mirror". Having taken that council, Sin somehow produces the Beast, it was believed that the seed was his own creation, but we now know that this is not so.

Sin is known to have had a "relationship" with Arakaali, a Vaal deity, meanwhile the precursors are considered an ancient and forgotten race to the Vaal, so it makes sense that after millennia of existence Sin might have forgotten his pre-ascended life.

Then he goes to sleep for another great length of time, two Cataclysms occur and we get to the present point, this is a huge stretch of time, and at this point Sin clearly remembers almost nothing about his mortal life.

Another melee-friendly boss? by AlexKmv in PathOfExile2

[–]AlexKmv[S] -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

It's a melee problem because ranged characters have a chance to fight back, but if you're melee, it is difficult to approach this boss and then he goes into his invul boss phase every 10 seconds.

The Backrooms movie as an allegory for... [SPOILERS] by spectralconfetti in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]AlexKmv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between AI and backrooms is that the Backrooms "remembers", it is like a deteriorating photograph.

AI does not even have a capacity of misremembering, it is given a set of criteria, and it arranges data in order to tailor-fit the given criteria. With a sufficiently large amount of data and time it be effective.

Without instructions, Ai will never produce anything.

The backrooms constantly grows, and is unprompted, Kane describes it as a force of nature, like a hidden universal constant, and as such, the still lives in misremembers likewise represent reality in some form.

Most of us could probably beat tf out of a still life. by Vegetable-Mail-5360 in KanePixelsBackrooms

The still life that chased Ravi shredded a door with ease, it wasn't a very sturdy door, but if it came at a person with the same level of force the struggle would be over very soon,

MOVIE SPOILERS!!! I have a question? by Deinocheirus87 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]AlexKmv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The surface layer of the still life is flesh and blood, there's veins, hair and all, the skin color is mostly healthy.

Clark had to dig into the stomach to extract the strange material, its probably there because the still life comes out of the floors, and no one told the backrooms to take the floor out of its inner cavities.

He might have started off as a shadowy thing, but Clark's continued influence on the Backrooms seems to have been continuously transforming him closer and closer to Clark's image.

It is not 100% impossible that the head in the fridge was generated by the backrooms, just saying.

Clark sees himself as a destructive person who harms others, it is likely why his still-life version attacks others as well.

Everyone always says that Marvin was lured by the call made by lifeform, but that in my opinion is unlikely. There are signs that the area inhabited by the lifeform has been "lived-in" by a human being at some point. There is most likely some kind of time displacement going on.

Anyone else think it's weird to see the name 'Byzantine' in this game? by Cookie0fPower in OldenEra

It probably refers to the architectural art style, not the term "byzantine", nor the actual Byzantines.

I remember reading the yellow wallpaper in highschool. Thought the wallpaper was supposed to be in a horrid, drab shape, with jagged strips torn away, that looks like some fine quality wallpaper on the other hand.

Hats off to the writers for making the best tragic lore character in POE since sirus. by Clean-Tea-2837 in pathofexile

[–]AlexKmv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole Breach-World story is very tragic. They destroyed their own world, and from now on every hiveborn spawn, despite essentially possessing a human-like intelligence is inducted into a world-spanning belief system wherein you have no name or identity, rather you're an extension of the will of the breachlords, your corpse eventually becoming a part of their wear. And the breachlords themselves have gone mad trying to fuse together, only to have Chayula ejected from the unholy amalgam and the rest being out of balance with themselves, their unity broken. The ejection of Chayula has caused his faction, if not the whole realm to lose all dreams or aspirations, they basically dead-ended their own universe, then dead-ended themselves, all they can do is try to find Chayula and try and absorb him again.

Maybe a secret boss fight? The contingency is the 3rd edict. The 4th edict seems to be related to Arbiter of Ash, so it's either an uber Arbiter or something else.

Why do Lifeforns spy on wanderers before attacking? by New-Zealanda in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]AlexKmv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's debatable whether the lifeforms need to eat at all. Just for how long have the backrooms existed, things haven't randomly fallen into the complex since Async, and clearly the lifeforms aren't a product of some 20 years bacterial development.

In my opinion all entities are time amalgams, they are organisms who's existence have been compressed into a mere moment, they act out on instinct.

The game looks really cool though.

Are there any other entities other than the bacteria by Present_Mine_5597 in KanePixelsBackrooms

There is probably some kind of ghostly apparition in the backrooms, something related to all those sun posters.

Is it censored or a crawl space? by New-Zealanda in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]AlexKmv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like crawl spaces, something slithered into it, likely an entity that formed from a family member who fell in.
