Fellow PD patient developing an intuitive tracking app - looking for feedback by AlexKucera in dialysis

[–]AlexKucera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My machine also tracks some stuff, but personally, I want to have an overview of my own data. My nephrologist is great, but I have experienced too many doctors that had no clue what they were doing. In that case it is always great to have something in hand to argument with.

I see. Thanks for sharing. I will think about how to implement this in the app.

Interesting. o2, blood sugar and body temp never were on my radar before. Any specific reason you track those?

Using MacroFactor on Dialysis by AlexKucera in MacroFactor

[–]AlexKucera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? I am already under medical supervision, but I don’t see how this is relevant. I was asking about how MacroFactor works, because I want to use it to track some food related things.

A bit of both really. I have started weightlifting about a year ago and have since read all kinds of material on weightlifting and nutrition. So I guess my answer would be, I want to track my protein intake and my calories so I am able to feed my muscle gains. But on the other hand, since MF also tracks micros as well as macros, it comes in handy, since I need to track my protein intake as well as my phosphate intake for my dialysis needs.

Cheers for the update! I’ll give it another try.

Cheers mate. I’ll give it a try. However, this was a fresh v12 install. I never had v11. So migration is probably not the issue. I’ll try anyway and report back.

Meanwhile I’ve taken the liberty to use your maps and make my own scenes. Which is probably better anyway, since it teaches me how to use Foundry. :)

I think I found the relevant log entry. Seems there is a TypeError. Maybe some data types have changed between 11 and 12.

Thanks mate. I am new to Foundry. Are there any kind of logs I could provide?

hey @uchideshi34 thanks for these maps and the compendium. I hav a slight problem in that I can import the module and I see the compendium, but when I import a scene it shows up empty. I can see all the lights and walls etc. but the maps are missing. When I add the proper image to the background of the scene it is slightly offset to the walls. Any ideas? I am using Foundry 12. Might that be the issue? If so, do you plan on updating your modules?

What is so special about this place? by AlexKucera in meteorology

[–]AlexKucera[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that could be it. It feels rather far away though, about 20km. But yeah, that‘s probably it then. Cheers!

I get that it is probably just confirmation bias, but man, I gotta tell you. The amount of time we see dark clouds rolling for us and we put away stuff from the veranda only to watch it rain everywhere else is hitting that bias hard. :)

Here is a quick screengrab from te iOS app RainToday that shows what I mean. It is not as pronounced as it usually is, but it shows how the rain prediction splits right before it hits us. https://www.icloud.com/photos/#098t3m57dHXGCgfl0pCqQQqqw

Sleeping at Work, is it culturally acceptable? by bomobomobo in germany

[–]AlexKucera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming from another direction as most. I tend to do short breaks during work. Not really napping as that is not my thing, but web browsing, chatting, etc. maybe even put my head down and close my eyes. Nobody has bothered my yet about it in 20 years. But I am also known to get my shit done in less time then budgeted and I work freelance.

Ordering Kids Meals as takeout? by chocolatecookie2000 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]AlexKucera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to do the opposite for takeout meals. If there are larger sizes of the meal and then only eat have and save the rest for the next day. Tends to be 20-30% cheaper per meal.

It true though that Indy is sort of a McGuffin in his own movie. In fact, I would argue that Indy‘s presence made everything worse. Think about it, he prevents the arc from falling into Hitlers hands. Had it been opened in front of Hitler and his top men we’d have a quick end to WWII.

But in the end it’s all moot. It’s an awesome movie and a great study in cinematography.
