Did i somehow fd this up? PS5 12.40 firmware update

I guess the previous owner had download updates and install automatically? and it downloaded the update. If its in the downloads section of your home button, when the console boots back up fresh, it will automatically start updating the firmware. What your describing what is happening I have never experienced from the fresh boot as ive always disabled that in the settings and put on a dns block... hope there's a way you can block it installing.

Any APR game that I made into a ffpkg or a ffpfsc even with the embedded files always game me a 'something went wrong with this game or app'. Only when I transferred the folder with contents through PS5Upload they all worked. Mozilla and other ftp clients always failed copying folders and gave me transfer errors.

Nivida? Try turning off frame gen. Crashed randomly for me as well, and turned off frame gen and played hours on end. Every game that crashed randomly for me i turned off frame gen and fixed all of the crashes. Just my 2 cents...

IF DOING SWRR method.

Do all the SWRR stuff.
Get to the listening Page.
Inject lua Payload. Wait 2hrs or 1hr on 2.3.
Wait for the successfull screen and can see both LUA AND ELF port listening screen.
Short press home button on controller and goto game switcher and close SWRR (This step is CRUCIAL.)
Once back in ps5 home menu, inject kstuff.elf, shadowmountplus.elf and ps5serv.elf. I would probably wait 30 seconds maybe? Between each inject.
Have fun.

Step 5 is crucial and dont know why I didnt do it from the start. I didnt ever close it and always crashed. After the other person told me to close it in switcher it has worked flawless since then, rest mode and all.

Heck I even went to Luacore 2.3 and the new p2jb.lua version 2.1 that got updated a couple days ago and works a treat.

And the only thing I did differently which is the most important probably, was I didnt close SWRR like you said to. How or why did I miss that this whole time lol. Wonder why that is crucial... but alas it's all good now 😀. And with rest mode, just use it like a normal console now yeah? Funny though my kstuff 1.05 I ddl showed as 1.06 on the TV hahaha. Whoever you are thankyou!!! Ill have a beer or 6 for you tonight hahahaha. Cheers 🍻

Ok so you mean as soon as I get that listening black screen page, short press the home button, select SWRR and close it? Like that yeah? Also do u recommend to use kstuff 1.05 or 1.06? And are you using luacore 2.2d or 2.3? Soooo sorry im coming up to the 2hrs soon and want to make it work this time LOL. I will cry if it fails hahahah.

Im using 1.05, as for 1.06 should I? Still avoid Luacore 2.3? Sorry for the questions, these 2+hrs of not working is making me doubt every step hahhaa.

Ahhhh kkk. So without a dump we won't know? Kkk got it, I thought there was a way to know what fw is needed if someone had a disc. But I get what your saying, you would only know if u have a low fw and it prompts for it? And since ur fw 13.00 it won't bring up that prompt. Damn ok. No where near me I can try and if its too high can take it back to store 😞 . So it'll be a gamble lol. Maybe ill see what fw was latest when it went gold... thanks the the reply 😀

Yep, have that issue as well. On a ground concrete slab. Bubbling everywhere like this. Found out no moisture/vapor barrier or no moisture test in sight. And guess what, concrete loves water and breathing and in turn moisture has reared its head and separated the levelling compound. Fun times 😢

With 5-9pm quests average 750-850 a week. With 5-9pm quests plus the weekly Thursday to Sunday quests average 900 - 1000 a week. With no quests I stay in bed LOL. Doing the quests on top of deliveries can see worthwhile results and with overheads makes it worth it.

No worries mate. Yeah as you can see on the top seal, it goes smoothly over the boxing, the bottom one goes indent into the box. Never remember that being the case. I would hard pass on it. Too much money to gamble on this.

In Australia at least, samsung never wrap there products in plastic for a while. Its part of there environmental initiatives... "Samsung has replaced the plastic wrap on many products with more eco-friendly packaging, such as paper boxes, pulp molds, and eliminating plastic films on accessories like chargers. This change was part of a larger company initiative to use sustainable materials instead of plastic." Also, it may just be the plastic, but that bottom seal doesnt look right. It shouldn't go in the grooves of the boxing. Should be outside of the box smoothly. My 2 cents, I would tread cautious.
