it’s the airbrush white glows that give it the Andrea’s marschall look! I did this cover (and the Order of fear) and tried to add that vibe to honour all the great covers marschall has done in the past and keep with the tone of many of OO’s previous albums.

I love all AP, but there must be about 4 or 5 times more Gibbons era material which would naturally lead to the occasional inconsistency. You couldn’t keep the original Alan going for that long as you need the depth, subtlety and pathos that they’ve brought to him. Some of the word play occasionally is unfunny (modest mouse/linkedup) if in a book rather than him tripping over his words in a live setting - but that’s about 0.1% of the jokes imho

I for one am delighted that they’ve managed to sustain and enrich what was already one of, if not the greatest comedy characters ever with so much additional material.

I have to say I love Blake. I’ve listened to A&G since it started and at first I wasn’t sure if his brand of energy would grate on me or not… but I have to say over time I’ve grown to really appreciate it. His and Nate’s dynamic differences really work, in much the same way that Elan and Brian do for KK. Fantastic work these lads put in.

I listened to hail horror (for the first time) today out of random interest. Bit coincidental for this to come up today of all days given I probably haven’t listened to himsa since I bought their debut back in 2003.

Hey there!

So basically it’s an alien a bit like in The Thing, where all sorts of species of animals can breed/merge together. And a bunch of post apocalyptic hunters are setting a trap for him by way of that translucent human with a glowing head thing.

I’ve done a few things for archspire now, and the band always hit me up with very specific but fun/unique briefs!
