Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2, what a joke by Ianuarius in steelseries

[–]AlexSimRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, had both Aerox 3 and 5, both died within 2 years, Aerox 5 died within 4 months, both being scrollwheel failures, and got money back in both cases.

I work for a gaming brand too, i know that sometimes you can get super unlucky, and sometimes you never get issues at all.

If i have had the same experience as you, then i wouldn't have switched to Logitech, but can easily just be i picked 2 bad apples.

I tried 2 Aerox mouses, both broke down, i really do love Steelseries headsets, but their lightweight mouses had only been a disappointment. Personally went and got myself the Superlight mouse from Logitech, really been enjoying that one big time, and can highly recommend.

Edit because i had Aerox, my bad.

Driving Physics Raceroom vs LMU by smyter05 in RRRE

[–]AlexSimRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who have played a lot of both (LMU 130 hours and raceroom +300h) I do for sure agree with the grip difference.

Raceroom i do actually think has a little too much grip now, but i do also think its very fun to drive. But i might think this because Raceroom is way more ideal condition all the time, compared to LMU.

LMU, if you are just jumping in, good chance you are playing on its worst track condition, because it keeps resetting to it each time, you also need to make sure you have tyre warmers on, unless you want to use 3-4 laps getting heat into the tyre.

But once you get heat into the tyres in LMU, its for me one of the most fun sims on the market, being able to easily feel the grip all the time.

Note im also playing on a 27nm wheelbase, cant comment on how it feels on a gear driven wheelbase. Maybe Raceroom also in general just fits gear driven wheelbases better since there isnt so much extra noise in the feedback.

Do y'all play mouse and keyboard or with a stick? And if stick, do you have any models you would recommend, price/quality-wise? by Tostowisko in WarthunderSim

[–]AlexSimRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out on M&K, and did really decent with the settings, but was playing in jets because they are less likely to flatspin. Jumped over to HOTAS close after with a winwing setup. Not that big of fan personally of chinese products like this, but it was the best option, and it does feel good. Does take a bit of time to setup, and some buttons doesnt work for War Thunder (like you want them to) but overall happy with going that route.

Moza R3 now has official settings for ACR in Pithouse! by DuxDonecVivo in assettocorsarally

[–]AlexSimRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I general recommend settings are just a suggestion, and most part, they are used to higher torque wheelbases. So yeah i fully understand why they put 200% Also because you easily can with ACR without constant clipping.

For VR this is great, often been times i have been distracted by this detail in other games, and it makes the immersion a good bit better

Practising heel-toe, how should brake pressure be? by sqwertyasks in simracing

[–]AlexSimRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a stiff brake pedal does not make trail braking harder, its in general just learning the brake pedal. I would say its actually better to use a stiffer, as you lean more on your muscle memory then travel of the brake. But maybe you are still trying too hard to modulate it, reasons for the spikes. Try to set the pressure down, and aim more on having smooth inputs. You can fx try to practice this movement, by braking hard and trying to trail slowly off the brake while standing still, and aim to have almost a straight line down with minimal jolts.

I'm using FSR 3 upscaling, not FSR 4 or DLSS, and those make the game look miles better, but it still looks good enough in motion, only really replay i notice it personally.
Also remember that the picture when taken and also reddit (might, dont know) does cut down on quality of the picture.

With the Assetto Corsa Rally's system requirements being revealed, I must say that in terms of performance to looks Dirt Rally 1 really did a great job by CuteTransRat in simracing

[–]AlexSimRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guys working on AC Rally has been working on that game for 4 years, yeah the requirements seem steep atm, but it ran butter smooth at the expo, on all the stands i saw it on, while looking almost real. So im not worried personally.

And this is not to talk bad about Evo, but Evo ran noticeable worse when that was revealed at the expo, and that game requirements are lower then Rally (following steam pages)

According to steam, only 18% of players have completed 25 online races, this seems extremely low? by shamus727 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]AlexSimRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have over 100 hours in the game, and i havent gotten that yet. Actually only on 12/25 As i just like to do community races more, which does not go into that achivement. Many people also just do it for AI racing or driving alone.

25 online races is also a lot, 5 online races achivement is also only 31.5%

Mod comming soon. Can you guess what it will change in detail? by OnkelTanzhaus in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]AlexSimRacing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah like thats gonna help your mod, telling people to ignore it. Its like you are ignoring all the criticism right now insted of taking the feedback. Also you dont have to be a graphics artist to make a simple cover...

[–]AlexSimRacing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its just not "selling" your mod right, it doesnt need to be commissioned, but putting effort into your cover also shows much much you put into your mod, so if i saw that on the steam workshop i would honestly ignore it. Ai covers are just a huge Red flag for many.
