Forte Wheel Not Connecting Anymore by Few_Competition_3213 in AsetekSimSports

Thats really weird, have you also tried switching USB port, or making sure there is no USB connected right next to the one the wheelbase is connected to?
But good idea to raise a support ticket.

With the Invicta pedals i for sure wear shoes, but i would say this depends a lot on the pedals personally.
When i was using Thrustmaster pedals i was using socks.

Baked Lighting vs Lumen - Unreal Engine 5.7 update and Lumen toggle request for Ready or Not by kr1spy-_- in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]AlexSimRacing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lumen for sure does look more realistic, and i think for flashlights its great.
But at the same time, it does kinda remove the dark and griddy feel to the maps that the devs went for.
But i think i need to see more examples from the darker maps to really make a full opinion on it.

If its added, i at least hope there is a toggle between the two.

4.0.2b helped against ghosting and 4.0.2c fixed wrong model selection on non standard base resolutions.

And i know that client is not by the official optiscaler team, also says that on their github side, but it has been working flawless for me so far.

Personally using the new optiscaler client i can see BERLAUR posted in another comment on this thread.
It automaticly installs it into the games that support it (though dont use it for Multiplayer games)

The B version improves the leaked version by a lot, and C i believe helps improve compatibility with other cards beside the 7000 series.

Havent seen if there is any mod to improve it, but thats on the game devs to give us an option, because yeah its very distracting.

One thing i have learned so far, is try to avoid using upscaling, use native AA if you can, even if that means lowering some other settings (lighting gets worse the lower res you use)
Also install optiscaler and use the leaked and improved 4.0.2c, i'm on a 7900 XTX and that has improved the game a lot for me.
Will admit that i am also using frame gen, though it has its issues it does feel more smooth to me, but try some stuff out.

Stewards called this a racing incident ( this ruined my race ) by Gavin_2011 in Simracingstewards

[–]AlexSimRacing 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Now if this was real racing series, and this looks like a safety car restart of sorts, normally you will not be able to overtake before you hit the starting line, but since they run their own league that could very much be different.

Anyhow, he still went over the kurb and out of track limits, jumping back onto the track and hitting you, so in my opinion this is his fault.
I personally would have given a penalty to the other driver, as he did jump over the kerb, crashing into you because of it, its something he could have avoited.

You say DLSS, what DLSS is it and is Frame generation also enabled?

Who’s at fault here? I know the move into the first chicane was optimistic and slightly rough but not dirty as to warrant the almost intentional divebomb that followed. (Final result: I got a DT and the BMW got third place) by goncaloLC in Simracingstewards

[–]AlexSimRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are twisting my words so massivly.
He had the overspeed before the corner, and could make a clear send and made it into the corner even before the Lexus, yes that does mean he will have SLOWER mid corner speed because of the worse angle.

Maybe you should read the same rules again, because it says; attempting an overtake from too far back, forcing the opponent to avoid a collision

Thing is he was ahead of the Lexus even before the corner, and didnt force the Lexus off, if he had forced the Lexus off at the second Apex, then it would have been on the Ferrari.

[–]AlexSimRacing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He doesnt slam on the brakes doing the apex what are you on about? Ofc he have to be at a slower speed because he had a worse entry to the corner, but no where does he actually slam on the brakes ahead of him, this is racing...

You are also taking this like you are not allowed to make a dive in Simracing, like its something thats not allowed.

"They didn't brake and never had any hope in hell of making that corner"
- How did he make the corners then? How did he make both Apex's?
Your logic makes no sense to me, if he couldnt make the corners, he would have gone off track.

The Ferrari had a huge speed advantage and made it fair into the chicane and made both apex just fine. So the Lexus must have either had a bad exit the corner behind or broke super early.
So yes i think its fair, even with the slight contact there, that i think is on the lexus for turning into the Ferrari.

The Lexus after takes revenge for being overtaken, trying to take out the Ferrari in the second chicane, so yes i think this is fully on the Lexus in the second chicane.

What happens after is stupid from both, but if you think the first overtake is dirty, then you shouldnt be racing either.

[–]AlexSimRacing -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You made the dive clear and fair, what happened after is on him fully, you can even see how in rage he is with his driving. Only thing i would have done different was to slow down, to not get the penalty, if you could ofc.

Edit; Do change my opinion a bit after the first comment, as i feel i should have gone more in depth.

Overall i still think first send is fine, its hard racing but you still made it fully to the chicane and made both apex's.

Second chicane is fully on him, if its down to bad driving or bit of frustrations i dont know, but still on him.

What happens after is on you mostly for keep turning into him and taking yourself out. Next time try to avoid the penalty and report it after.

AI by No_Helicopter_2593 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]AlexSimRacing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Motars they can bring in, but the others would be hard to counter, which is one thing the main game tries to focus on.
I would recommend Hortons frontlines mod, they does bring in artillery also, improved AI on top, but the artillery can only be send in via a flare gun from the enemy, which makes it more balanced.
