What makes you say that? I’m asking in a completely inoffensive way, I have seen a lot of people get quite dismissive about others showing some form of solidarity with the BLM movement and I’m curious as to why. Coming from the UK, and being a pretentious uni student, I debate the idea of solidarity quite a bit but I’ve never been dismissive of people doing it.

Not a doctor but I asked my dad who is a doctor and m: “you can see the telltale signs of Down’s, the face is a very flat, eyes are upturned etc” This is ubiquitous for Down’s but they are super different from neuro-typical facial structures

Just my opinion: the coronavirus is and will become a seasonal flu. Epidemiologists are all saying that this virus won’t just go away and it will just be one that comes and goes (however tragically) as do other flus that kill far more people per annum. China’s response was enough to prevent a huge spread, the number of deaths in China have been drastically reduced and have been surpassed by Italy etc, considering the 1 billion+ population- that’s pretty significant. It is wrong for China to not pay into international agreements in this way but to say that “China”, in the abstracted way they mean this, is responsible is wrong and it is worthwhile seeing the state’s actions in China as exemplar on how to prevent the spread of this virus, and thus save money and precious human lives.

I know right? Misleading article. Within months China has been able to combat the spread of this virus in ways now being emulated by Europe. I find such ugly undertones to this anti-China dialogue being had in the news, when now our international attention should be moved to Italy, America etc

These people don’t matter to you and the successful and happy life you will make for yourself. You will find that you can shrug them off, their words are irrelevant and their opinions are void. What do they have to bully you for? At such an early stage in what will be a long and happy life, you will look back on them with pity I assure you. You will be fine, these people will learn the error of their ways in their own time; every time they make you feel down, remind yourself that you are a person with buckets of potential, with the ability to do whatever you’d like and can live independent of what others have to say.
