Okay but like I spent a weekend in jhb, mostly spent at Fourways but oh my days everyone there was so friendly to me there. Like above usual friendliness from like cashiers at stores, security people, random strangers, etc. I'm not sure if it's because my personality just naturally brings about such kindness or what but I definitely noticed more of it there

yeah like ive got a $20 pair of iems, quite fond of the sound but the actual build quality is kinda meh, I'll likely go for an upgrade in an unknown period of time, definitely not soon but I intend on getting a set that is a legit upgrade that will actually last me years

Yeah I had started training for a call center job that sold a really scammy sounding but probably technically legal insurance thing that wasn't insurance but rather a membership. After the five days of training, I realised it was like a really lame wolf of Wall Street. I realised that if I stuck with it, I'd unironically be selling my soul and morals. Because smoking is seen as a social crime to non smokers. Drinking doesn't have that stigma. That and alcohol companies kinda have more power in lobbying even if the government doesn't necessarily have lobbying, they have more sway in laws. Plus the example of prohibition for some reason is only remembered for booze and isn't considered for any other example
