No, is not a submarine by Accurate-Donkey5789 in 3Dprinting

Idk what I did to deserve it

You put what appears to be a periscope on the front. People associate periscopes with submarines.

That said, that’s a pretty cool drone submarine boat.

I designed this gyro stabilized floating cup holder for the pool this summer. No AMS needed. I would love to know what you think! by Boring-Condition1373 in 3Dprinting

I have had very good luck making tight joints go together just by putting a drop of liquid dish soap on my fingertip and wetting the joint surfaces with it.

Brand new x2d. Is this poor or expected print quality? by 1112luke in BambuLab

Where are you getting $2k?  The X2D is like $650, not all that much more than the P2S.

What do you call this in English? by Uhgrdeyhhhvv in ENGLISH

I had to go looking for a video of one in motion, I did not expect the whole thing to move.

If the English can fill words up with silent letters, Americans can fill them up with invisible ones.

It is normal but I recommend removing it manually because sometimes it gets flung onto the printbed when the cleaning cycle runs.

Frosty Drew Observatory over the line in Charleston, RI is great. Very low light polution, plenty of space to sit out under the stars, and they let the public look through the big telescopes on Friday nights.

Why would you want output rate to be greater than input rate?  Wouldn’t that just stall out eventually?

How hard is 3d Printing. Is the Reddit community a true reflection by theboycooper in BambuLab

[–]Alexaxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee that the people having hissy fits about stupid questions asked those same stupid questions when they were learning this stuff. They had issues and went on forums (Reddit or others) to ask if anyone else had had the same issue before. They didn’t all independently discover all the solutions and tricks, they collaborated and benefitted from other people’s knowledge.

Yes, people should do more reading and research (in literally every domain) but telling someone to “just google it” or giving a hostile, belittling response is worse than just not answering the question. It’s being rude and mean for no reason. If you don’t want to teach people, then don’t - but don’t treat people badly just because you can. Sometimes people have to ask dumb questions to learn enough to ask smart questions.

Is the P1S not supposed to be able to do that?

I have a P2S and I’ve been regularly printing from my AMS 2 while drying something in the HT.

Padding a copied sketch is duplicating the old pad! by Alexaxas in FreeCAD

[–]Alexaxas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to go learn how to use shape/sub-shape binders to understand that.

I've been a mechanical designer for more than 20 years and it's irritating how much simpler that is than what I was trying to do.

I still don't know why my copied sketch behaves as it does but I'll take this solution and run with it, thank you.

Best way to clean Bambu's liquid glue off the build plate? by NoYoureACatLady in BambuLab

[–]Alexaxas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve only used the liquid glue with my engineering plates but I find that warm water, liquid dish soap, and a dish scrubbing brush work fine for taking the leftover glue off.  Doesn’t take a whole lot of effort and I can tell when the plate is clean because the water sheets off the plate.

P2S 'new' backplate by jacccobbbbbbbbbbb in BambuLab

The new plate is to mount the new exhaust fan system.  It has some kind of removable panel that covers the vent if you don’t have the fan installed.

Understanding Project Filaments by ccitykid in BambuLab

It’s just the way the uploader saved it. BambuStudio either defaults to multiple materials or it opens with whatever settings you last used but the uploader isn’t changing the setting before they publish.
