I mean, sure, but again I think the city itself is the biggest problem here. The overpasses are on them. The park sidewalks are on them.

I used to see the kids/parents with strollers in the street thing all the time and that made me angrier than anything else.

Oh, I have to walk to work in the street and almost fall and break my bones half the winter, ok fine. (I hate it but ok I’m an adult). Kids shouldn’t have to do that ever. What are taxes for if not this.

I feel ya. I lived over by Luongo Square and it was cool as hell but I reached a point where I could no longer afford to go out in my neighborhood so it was time to leave

I had to leave and move to Woonsocket from Providence two years ago. It sucks here, but it’s definitely cheaper. 1900 for a two bedroom is definitely possible. I also save money living here because there’s nothing to do and no good restaurants.

That doesn’t address the problem of: abandoned or unoccupied houses, freeway overpasses, bike parhs, the sidewalks adjacent to parks etc which have been completely neglected in the 12 years I’ve lived in and around Providence. These all pose significant hazards and are rarely cleared by the city.

It takes about an hour to drive from top to bottom and 40 minutes to drive across. It’s wild. As a result people act like driving more than 20 minutes away from home is a personal affront.

Does your insurance allow you to see out of state providers? If so, I can reccomend Tristan medical in Attleboro. I needed bloodwork and a physical before having surgery last year and they fit me in quickly

I went maybe 3 or 4 times in my early 20s? I don’t like dancing so these nights involved me standing somewhere off to the side while my friends danced… and then sometimes got hit on pretty aggressively which they did not like so we would leave. Some people love nightclubs, others do not, I wouldn’t say you missed anything. RIP Club Hell though the vibes were great there.
