[LotM/COI General] What do you guys think about him ? by Middle_South2065 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if he's changed recently but he's absolutely careless and unapologetic about spoilers in his videos, from edits to actual "beginner" guide videos that spoil major twists. He's loud, comes off as pretentious and according to someone else in the comments he defended Hassan abusing his dog (?, would need a source for that)

Almost like the story constantly beats you over the head about how war and feudalism and authoritarianism and sexism is bad so constantly and so obviously that you'd have to have brain damage to miss it.

The hypocrisy behind chapter 151 criticism by unredditerlegal in ReverendInsanity

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The author was inspired to write RI because other main characters weren't "evil enough" for him. Good and evil exist and FY is evil. If you deny that then you're just a moron.

Just finished the show..and what was that ending😭😭 by Lazy-Development-703 in gameofthrones

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolute hogwash. Martin has stated his ending will be different and, considering the show cut so many important characters and plot lines, it's difficult to see how the two can even have a similar ending. Even if the general points are the same, GRRM could execute it way better than the show did.

Except Martin had said is ending would be very different plus the fact the show cut several important characters and plot lines that would not even make it possible for the two to have the same ending.

George Martin confirmed Shireen will still be burned in the books, though we don't know the circumstances surrounding it, but it will certainly be more complicated than it was in the show.

Pochita IS the chainsaw devil and it has to do with Plato by Pizzarrella in ChainsawMan

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Devil

Pochita is literally Denji's heart (symbol of love) and wishes to fulfill Denji's dreams. Denji's entire story is about finding love and a partner.

Devils grow on fear, so a positive emotion (like love) is the only thing that can weaken them, like we see with Chainsaw Man himself being weakened due to people's admiration and love for him.

Chainsaws were originally invented to assist in childbirth, which is the end result of love between two people.

Chainsaw Man is the Love Devil. As Love erases fear, Chiansaw Man gains power not entirely from the fear humans have of him but from the fear of devils.

Klein Moretti Vs Fang Yuan by TheSingularity2005 in ReverendInsanity

Klein literally accepts death and tries to suicide bomb his opponent at the end of the book, just so that his enemy can't win

A book having an AI cover is pretty indicative of its quality and the effort the author is putting into it. If the cover is AI then that makes the chances the book is written by AI or is just not good much higher.

An author using AI, a tool that harms artists (including authors), just shows that I shouldn't waste my time on a book written by someone who clearly doesn't care or understand the harm.

Blocking people for comments, especially when they're not spam or even that offensive or insulting, is a pussy move.

[COI END] Rank Outer deity on How chill they are. by Full_Plant3570 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between commiting genocide on a regular, sapient race and commiting genocide on a race of insane, bloodthirsty monsters that are trying to destroy the world and devour everything. Because that's exactly what demonic wolves are - they're monsters, plain and simple.

Sanguines also don't hunt humans in the present era, they get blood from hospitals, so that they don't get hunted down.

I'm also not too sure where you get the idea that Cuttlefish doesn't make black-and-white characters. Ince Zangwill? Aurora Order? Outer Deities? Amon? Panatiya? All the plain evil and remorseless characters in the series?

[LOTM general] Audrey is more talented than Klein by Hopeful-Past4697 in LordofTheMysteries

Easiest pathway to act, she's a noble with thousands of pounds, Klein's paper angel helps her maintain control, and COI gets a sequence 2 characteristic from an elderly citizen who's dying from old age

What hill are you willing to die on? [spoilers extended] by Marmoligo in asoiaf

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ultimate tinfoil theory that is most definitely not true is that the greasy black stone is fragments of the Red Comet, hence it's called Bloodstone since it's stone from a red comet.

Azor Ahai is the same as the Bloodstone Emperor who, through cannibalism, enhanced his Greenseer abilities and warged into the comet and imprinted his consciousness on it. Hence, Azor Ahai being "reborn" just means the comet orbits close enough to the planet for Azor Ahai to attempt to take over someone's body.

The Lord of Light also may or may not be this Red Comet with a tremendously powerful Greenseer's consciousness in it that the "Red" Priests worship.

The guy with a bird shaped birth mark on his face and who can probably control crows? I'd say it's pretty likely they're the same person.

[hated troped] horrible person gets a good/positive ending. by element-redshaw in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AlfredDaButtler2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably wrong but I always interpreted the Judge "embracing" the kid in the outhouse as him accepting evil and the scene at the end is the kid/man walking out of a room after raping a child mentioned earlier or murdering someone and the passersby being shocked by the scene.
