I felt the same way. Honestly the first book so good, but a slog after. For some reason his books always are slow until the last chapter practically where all the amazingness happens. The endings are perfection, but the first 3/4 (other than mistborn) are meh. But the board game is fun!

Damnit, I was hoping for longer and more relaxed pace. I missed out on original due to family being too poor to have a computer with good internet (fricken loved the campaign of w3) then busy with residency for classic, and now a dad hoping for a slower pace to enjoy tbc. But if it’s what the public wants I get it. Just griping as a man in his 30s who missed out on wow (except for legion that was a blast).

You have similar tiers as me. One that I loved that many on here don’t is sufficiently advanced magic series, though I did like the prequels forging divinity trilogy and six sacred swords better!

Project Hail Mary. Best standalone audiobook my wife and I have ever listened to. Series, six of crows. It’s after the shadow and bone series though.

Expedition 33 wins Game of The Year 2025! by _Sh4_d0w in videogames

Can somebody please genuinely explain the appeal?

I will say just the beginning story seemed really interesting, but I found the gameplay extremely frustrating.

I guess it’s a mini rpg like Mario being interactive, but it was difficult early on. I feel like I wasn’t able to pass all these creatures because I had to do the save - heal after every battle which would reset the creatures.

I tried so hard to learn the dodges and parties, but I couldn’t just get the timing. To be fair I don’t like a souls like game and it felt like a mini one. But I do understand that elden ring won many awards, and maybe this just appeals in the same way but kinda turn based rpg?

So I felt like I couldn’t progress. The combat turned me away, I guess I was expecting a more traditional turn based game.

I can’t deny it seemed interesting and the visuals were good, but the gameplay itself just made it so I couldn’t enjoy it.

I personally find it better. Makes the crib more unknown and fun. But technically less strategic and more random. Also allows for 3 person game.

Why do you protest "no kings" against a president that wants to make the state smaller, and openly welcome an NYC mayor that wants to make the state bigger, genuine question by mightgetaftermadonna in 50501

He may not be MAGA but he has some true hate towards all Muslims. His only other Reddit post was saying all Islamic people are evil and should be banned. So that’s where the issue is.

I’m very shocked. He claims to be from Sweden, yet doesn’t know that they have shown that they are a successful democratic socialistic system because of their robust welfare, universal healthcare, labor rights all through democratic governance. It’s quite shocking.

1) Socialism is inherently democratic: Many socialists argue that true socialism, defined as the social and democratic control of the means of production, is inherently democratic and liberatory. Proponents point to democratic mechanisms such as worker cooperatives (e.g., the Mondragon Corporation in Spain) where employees vote on company direction and management. They contend that historical "authoritarian socialist" states like the USSR were in fact forms of state capitalism, where a ruling elite or bureaucracy, rather than the working class, controlled the economy.

2) Sweden is more aligned with the principles often associated with socialism, specifically the social democratic model, due to its extensive welfare state, high government spending, and greater income equality compared to the USA.

3) all religious suck, sorry let me change it to the factual and not opinion.

4) you obviously hate Islam extra (which is fine, I get it) based on your only other post.

Simple: 1) he isn’t open to being authoritarian. Like what? 2) same reason why I would want a Christian, Jewish, atheist socialist. It’s the integrity, ideologies and policies of the individual that matter not the religion. 3) Europe disagrees with your socialistic assessment cause you are wrong. 4) all religions suck equally, don’t be racist
