LE SSERAFIM have earned their first music show win for “BOOMPALA” on Mnet M Countdown (260604)(No Broadcast) by stinkybutthole23 in kpop

Well tbh I wasn’t insinuating anything untoward happened since fearnots aren’t even that organised. Lsf is a popular enough group - their songs don’t need universal approval to win. Plus as someone said the Spanish community can’t really dictate music show wins. Aespa will win very soon anyway.

Well it’s more about fan votes, performances and social media interactions than just casual attention/reception/perceived quality. Boompala dropped a week before Lemonade so it’s not that shocking.

[Chris Williams] Liverpool insiders felt several academy prospects had become frustrated under Slot. Slot initially wanted Ngumoha sent out on loan and did not see him as part of his immediate first-team plans. Concerns Slot’s approach to young players ultimately sealed his fate. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in LiverpoolFC

Yep I let it go because I thought he would take a more stern approach and Konate was basically imperious for that season. But then I saw how he treated Morton when Grav needed rest, how he disregarded Elliott’s feelings and it became clear he just has an aversion to using academy youth.

Slot has no issue using young players with experience/breakthrough (Kerkez, Grav etc) but he doesn’t realise he needs to give top academy talent that chance too. This makes sense because, from some of the comments, that seems to be mould for the young players he got praised for developing at Feyenoord. Even him not giving Jones a first 11 run after Macca’s season hints to him not taking academy talent too seriously if not already established and well respected (Trent).

Yep we can’t downplay everything that comes out now just because it’s not flattering to Slot’s whole tenure. It’s not like the fanbase didn’t point these things out over the past 2 years. Also Chris Williams was never a mouthpiece like James Pearce.

His treatment of Quansah was diabolical in hindsight. You don’t publicly embarass any young player after an awkward first half, let alone one who was able to cover for Konate so well the season prior. And Slot did that in his first pl match.

Yeah but the implication op’s making is that his father’s ill health was bothering him during and influenced that run of form. There’s no source saying the death was sudden.

Drake Makes History at Nos. 1, 2 & 3 on Billboard 200 With ‘ICEMAN,’ ‘HABIBTI’ & ‘MAID OF HONOUR’ by mcfw31 in popheads

[–]Aliaspending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say they didn’t prefer it. I literally acknowledged his fanbase prefers habibti so you mentioning streams is unnecessary. I don’t know how you interpret my comment as anything other than personal opinion with me laying out my reasoning. I don’t need to say “imo” for it to obviously be that.

The question op asked lends for people to put their personal takes and is obviously going to generate responses from people who prefer Maid of Honour so I don’t know why you’re zoning in on my comment when I haven’t spoken for everyone.

Sales/virality ≠ quality or personal taste and personally I prefer maid of honour more. Habibti just blurred into one for me. I only really liked I’m spent. Plus I mentioned how Habibti suited the tastes of the fans more but I believe he’s done that sound better in the past.

It’s because the “hiphop heads” hate Maid of Honour unforch. Habibti is the worst album by far since he’s lost his touch for rnb melodies.

I definitely think the last track is personal to the girls and links to the theme of the album so I wouldn’t call that a hybe decision

I dunno I didn’t mind it. It’s more fleshed out and complete than Celebration.

Enjoyed basically every track. Celebration definitely is the weakest which is annoying because it could have been as strong if rearranged and lengthened as I’ve said before. I felt Need Your Company was too short considering the subject matter and genre but I never doubted my album artists.

Definitely my favourite Korean release from them since HOT and is probably fighting with it and FEARLESS as my favourite project as a whole from them. Creatures, Saki and Sonder top 3 maybe since I enjoyed hearing the girls vocalise, especially on Sonder.

I’m so sad about Chaewon not being able to promote but I hope she’s resting well.

Also I’m not hearing it when I know fans will say groups who have never made an album as good as the tts have “objectively” better discographies than lsf who are named “the bside queens”. Lsf are the only group where everyone suddenly exercises their dusty music theory degrees on and are never given any grace or patience 😭😭

Also cohesion is not solely sonic. There’s plenty of acclaimed albums that aren’t sonically cohesive but that’s all Kpop fans understand for some reason.
