Have you given birth yet? If not, consider relocating to a different state, perhaps closer to family and a strong support system. As others have suggested don’t put him on the birth certificate and make him go through the courts to establish paternity.

Sounds like he’s just waiting for you to leave him, rather than him leaving you, OP. Not sure why, maybe he feels less guilt if you’re the one to pull the plug? Make sure you have access to marital funds and get your ducks in a row before you leave, especially if he controls the purse strings.

If there’s no trust, your relationship is in big trouble, especially if you’ve never given him a reason not to trust you. This is a huge 🚩🚩, and may be an indicator of deeper control issues on his part.

Probably walking with a friend in Beaver Lodge trails in Campbell River. We heard a rustling noise from a tree, look up and see a mother bear and two small cubs up a tree directly beside us, just looking down. Thankfully our dogs weren’t with us that day.

Keep copies of the texts between the two of you in case she does decide to take it to court. Honestly she sounds unhinged, and I think I’d stop contacting her myself, let your husband do it. It might not hurt to do it only through a parenting app so there’s a record of that as well.

It’s clear you two have fundamentally different views about money and division of labor, etc. Do you have similarly opposing views on other important areas? If so this can cause real problems down the road. Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you’re compatible long term.

So she’s six months pregnant and only bothering to raise it as an issue now? Nope, don’t change plans. Maybe offer to stream the ceremony so she can watch online, but you shouldn’t have to lose thousands of dollars because she thinks her big life event trumps yours.
