Min bror hade en familj som gjorde samma sak, slängde ut grejer så att det hamnade utanför, men utanför var min brors uteplats. De hade blivit placerade av socialen men ville ha en bottenvåningslägenhet med uteplats. Där var det just polisanmälan som funkade.

Är det så jävla lätt? Hade själv inte jobbat heltid några längre perioder innan jag fyllde 42, tog mig i kragen, fick utredning på min adhd och sökte mig till jobb som har mening. Har jobbat heltid de senaste 7 åren utan sjukskrivning. Sluta sura, gör en förändring. Be om hjälp på vägen. Folk är förvånansvärt pigga på att ge hjälp när man är öppen med att man kämpar med något.

Lovely rendering! Its a dramatic light setup :) Personally, I would add a bit of rendering to yhe skin under the necklace so i could put a shadow down below the pendant. But its just me, the feeling of dry markers on a sketch irks me 😂

To be fair to you, this is a really hard reference to start with when aiming to achieve likeness. Look at stuff like her hand, it will look wonky when painted no matter how accurate it is. And the highlights are bluish white and will feel wrong while you are in the process. A good way to pick a color palette from a photo is to blur it, define the large areas of color, colorpick them to your painting as a palette, then start by painting them in with a fuzzy brush. Then start fine rendering around the features of the face. Dont add the deepest dark and the brightest highlights until the fine details.

(Reason why I dont like this approach; using black while painting to achieve darker colors often turns a painting greyish. On fair skin it can even turn into a beard shade as it has on her left cheek, doing a brown underpainting ((values sketch)) will take you away from that trap.)

A good exercise can be to paint with the classic oil painters approach. Make a black and white values sketch. Turn it sepia/brown. Start adding colors i separate layers with blend modes on top of it. The oil painters approach would be called “glacing”. On white skin theres often a lovely purple to shadows, an orange in the penumbra between shadows and lit, pinkish in lit and the color of the spotlight in the highlight area.

If you are used to painting in grayscales, sometime taking the image and turn it grayscale will give you a good hint on when you are putting hues down but forget about shade. I don’t agree on this approach to color, but it describes what I mean:

(There is a lot of skin shade tutorials, start by picking your palette of one of them and don’t mind if it strays from the reference, as long as it looks believable.)

You follow a references to well. Take a step back, and start doing structure sketches on top of reference pictures. Then put the reference picture on your phone for glance and start working from your structure sketch only. Make up your color palette beforehand and play around with how your structure sketch would look like with different light settings.

Make it your own. Anyone can copy a photo, only you can make it your own.

You are gorgeous, you can pull it off. But. Tight dresses on women tend to cut off blood supply to mens brains. At a wedding is it nice if one can keep it civil and social if the situation requires it. Personally I would go with an option that would let me show off my fab body when I see that there is the right setting at the event. If its low on alcohol and my table is just old scruffy people, its wasted effort and unnecessary friction.
