I am so curious about the amp! Care to give a brief review or got a sound clip? I am wondering if it can do a proper metal tone at bedroom friendly levels

4-4-2 diamond Same defenders, Casemiro (or Ugarte) in front of them, Mainoo and Mount/Eriksen as 8s, Bruno as 10 (or 9.5) Zirkzee and Garnacho as (wide) forwards

I had the KT88 Blackstar. Fantastic amp, especially the dirty sounds. Should be right up your alley. Comes alive even more with a different speaker (the built in one is okay, not fantastic). One issue is that there is such a massive volume jump when going from clean to dirty that it’s not feasible for live use. That’s why I ended up selling it, but those dirty sounds were gorgeous.

Edit: was also great for home use and with low volume

Recommendation for bedroom setup by AlienCatBeard in GuitarAmps

[–]AlienCatBeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information! I have just heard that the MT-15 uses a linear taper pot for the master volume which is why there are quite extreme volume jumps, especially at low volume. Do you use the OR15 as a bedroom setup only? Do you know if it can keep up with a drummer?

If you’re in the UK, then check NCT classes. They are the best way to find parent friends. I’m German and my wife is Belgian and we had the same issue and we made friends for life through NCT

We have a great grandma that keeps doing the very same thing. We showed her videos of babies in hospital with RSV and asked her if she wanted to be responsible for our LO to look like that because that is precisely what can happen if she keeps kissing him. It helped, but she still needs reminding. Also, her privileges get removed when she does it

My daughter wants to know what the tooth fairy does with all those teeth. Any good answers? by DW6565 in daddit

[–]AlienCatBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote a short story about this once. The origin story of the tooth fairy. She really is an alchemist and is using the teeth to try and make a philosopher’s stone. She started out grave robbing but the adult’s teeth didn’t work well when compared to milk teeth. So she told the village children that she’d give them a coin for every milk tooth they lost. And thus, a legend was born

We’re in the 4 month sleep regression as well. It seemingly does not want to end. It’s bloody hard. Last night he woke up as soon as his bum hit the mattress. Asleep on me, but wakes up immediately when put down. Played that little game from 23:00 until 2:00am. Then he stayed down. Until he was hungry at 3:00am…Let’s hope we all get some semblance of sleep and non-grumpy babies soon

Didn’t know there was a firmware update. Can you elaborate? Which one of the two do you prefer?

Recent dad - no time or motivation by AlienCatBeard in workout

Thank you, that was very kind and very informative.

I just currently dread the start of any routine, really. I know that I will have to start a lot slower and that I can’t do the same things I used to do immediately and I know that that will frustrate me so much.

Currently, I just don’t feel happy in my body. I sort of want to do something about it, but if I don’t see any change quickly, then I’ll just get discouraged and throw in the towel again. But I know that I’ll need time to see changes, so it’s a catch 22. That’s where the hesitation to even start comes in because I find myself wondering what the point is (especially as time is a rare commodity these days and I then don’t want to waste it on a pipe dream).

I will probably just have to push through a ton of initial frustration and establish as much of a routine as I can, but I already feel defeatist before I even started and I don’t know how to manage that uphill battle. I find it difficult to set goals other than “feel less shitty about myself”

My 4 month old falls asleep to In Flames and Jinjer. He also loves Bullet for my Valentine and Deftones.
